Baan Pak Rim Kuaen is in a lovely location next to the river and only a short drive to the dam. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The staff are really lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. They arranged a fantastic bamboo rafting trip for us and we were picked up by a lovely guy called Rew who took us to his resort and down the river. Very peaceful. The hotel doesn’t seem to come up on google maps but it’s next to a resort called Riverview.

We chose a riverview bungalow which at £70 per night was by far the most expensive place we’ve stayed in Thailand so I was expecting the accommodation to be a bit less basic. Also the room wasn’t serviced once in 3 days. At the least I would have expected the bins to be emptied.

River view

The resort is beautifully located in the nature of Thailand, lush greens and you can hear all the voices of the forest that you can imagine, amazing. The owner was very helpful over the phone to help us find the property, and also to find stuff to do the next day, and transportation to our next destination. Thank you!

Breakfast was very basic and a bit disappointing if I may say, it would have been nice - and easy to organize - to get some Thai fruits but instead they only served toast and instant coffee.
