B&b Torre del Greco

Very good location friendly hosts and lovely room sea view

The apartment is located very close to the railway station of Torre del Greco. The manager was friendly and helpful.

We have arrived earlier, maybe it was our “mistake”. When we entered to the apartment, the maid was cleaning another room yet, but we got the keys of our room and we could check in it… In the bathroom some of the towels were vet and dirty, there were hanging on the catch…not folded. It was suspicious that the maid had forgotten to change them maybe…The own bodywash of the previous guest ( not the aprtment’s free bodywash) was in the shower… so it was more suspicious that there wasn’t cleaning yet in the bathroom. The free bodywashes were on the bidet… one of them in the bidet…There was no toilet paper… I told this to one of the girl who worked in the galeteria, because the manager wasnt there, but she was not too friendly… When we went back, though the towels were changed, but the bodywash in the bidet and the previous guest’s stuff were still there, so it is sure there was no cleaning. The next morning we tried to take a shower, but there was no hot water, only cold, so we couldnt take a shower. Afternoon the same. The baldachin, what is on the pictures of the apartment photos wasn’t on the bed. The blankets were crumpled up into the wardrobe… In the room there were no glasses, no rubbish, no toilet brush… etc. The street was extreamly noisy, so sleeping with opened window was impossible. For breakfast we could choose 1-1 croissant and 1-1 coffe.

With sea view and helpful and very nice staff. They tried their best to solve this the problem and always responded immediately in booking.com message box. People are very nice and the breakfast you can choose whatever you like in the cafe shop downstairs(same place you go for checkin) A chill place and causal style.

It is suggested to provide a kettle and some teabags or at least a glass or a cup. There should be at least a glass for brushing teeth.

We were served a very tasty Italian breakfast in the morning with a spectacular view over the harbour. The room was comfortable and probably good value for money.

Rooms look much bigger and stylish on pictures than in real life. Entrance hallways to the room smelled of sewage. The staff had, on average, poor English communication skills.

The apartment rooms are recently renovated and clean.

We could not find the location for 20 minutes as there are no signs marking the entrance of the location. People on the street were not aware of the B&B. It is operated by a family that runs the bar / gelateria who gave us the keys to the building, the apartment, and our two rooms. The apartment itself has 5 bedrooms that are used by other guests so you are sharing an apartment with a common entrance with strangers. The interior of the apartment building is in poor condition, but the rooms are modern and have been recently renovated. The bar on the street provides a croissant and a coffee for breakfast. Orange juice is provided to paying customers but not in the breakfast package. This was below expectations for an advertised breakfast. There is also no guest parking on the street so you need to locate paid street parking. I got up at 6am Monday morning to move the car. We did not have a good experience at Torre Del Greco B&B. It is not a B&B by definition, it is a serviced apartment. This is poor value for the 324 Euros we spent for 2 nights.

Perfect place, view to the sea and port.

The location is ideal (the train is about a 4 minute walk away). Less than 30 minutes away from Naples. Walking distance to the Ercolano Ruins. A 15 minute train ride to Pompei. We spent the day today on the Amalfi Coast and the train/bus (go) - ferry/train (return) was spectacular, the ride itself was breathtaking. The room is super clean and new/modern. The bed is very comfortable. The sea view from the balcony is quite splendid. Breakfast at the bar/café downstairs (where you need to get your key when you first arrive) is delicious: the coffee here is probably the best in all of Naples and the morning pastries are fresh and authentic. I can't say enough about the staff! Between all of them, you can be understood in English, Spanish, French and German. And everyone is helpful, pleasant and eager to accommodate. There's a pizzeria up around the corner, Sant'anna Pizzeria e ristorante, that is cheap and the food will blow your mind. Grocery stores are also about 5 minutes away on foot. The WiFi is strong and reliable.
