Hawk House

The hotel has been improved and renovated since our previous visit. It is not so easy to find the hotel since the work on the A303 as the sat nav info has not been updated.

Great location. Pretty clean and nice decor. Nice toiletries.

No air conditioning so in the height of summer was very very hot. No internal lock on the door so felt a bit unsafe as exterior door to building was left unlocked.

Breakfast was bit costly hence didn't opt for it. However the stuffs were very friendly and helpful. There is a Indian restaurant as well for some late night curry.

A lot of big furniture in the room hence slightly cramped for space

It's not a dislike for us but for some it might be breakfast has no pork so beef sausages and turkey rashers on the menu we enjoyed but not for everyone we loved it

The twin room was large, clean and comfortable. The check in service was efficient and friendly. There was a spacious bathroom, with a good sized shower cubicle and the shower was powerful and hot. No complaints. The Blue Camel Indian restaurant, on the site, served amazing food and the staff were very friendly.

It was a little out of the way from any facilities, other than the restaurant. There was some some traffic noise from the dual carriageway, not far from the front of the site.

Room could’ve done with some TLC in places. The radiator paint was crumbling from rust. Bathroom window did not shut properly n the corridor smelt like curry. I also felt a bit vulnerable as a female solo traveller because the whole property has open aspects on all sides n rooms are ground level. The front n back door were both left unlocked too. The only staff member I met during my stay was pleasant but that was only at breakfast the following day before I was due to depart.

I didn't like anything. When I turned up at the property with my daughter, the first thing we heard was a young man who worked there swearing down the phone whist sat in the communal room. When we entered the room, at first, it was okay until we sat on our tiny uncomfortable beds, and then the tv wouldn't work. No sound, just a horrible static noise with a terrible picture! We left within 30 minutes of being there and no staff in the building. So couldnt get refunded and not heard anything through this app.
