Abseil Inn

It is a very comfy and familiar place. Everything is quite efficient, very close to the waitomo caves. Breakfast is excellent. The host also prepared a honey tasting for us in the morning.

Such a cool and lovely place. First you will receive the best booking confirmation ever. Very, very clear and honest. The rooms are unique and you feel everything was selected carefully. The "livingroom" is cozy and has all you need. Walls are not very thick, so if you are sensitiv, bring ear plugs. Sitting on the porch after a long ride was super relaxing and you feel fully immersed by nature. Make sure you plan enough time for breakfast. This is sensational. We unfortunately had booked an early gloworm cave tour and had to rush and I still feel so unpolite. The hosts make a great breakfast with some special food and ingrediences. I wish I had more time to taste all the ~ 10 different honeys that were offered and introdeced one by one. You even get recommendations for places to see on your trip (ice cream place in Pokeno!). So all in all a wonderful and highly recommended stay.

Lovely location with a great view over the local countryside. Helen & John looked after us well and provided a great breakfast.

The approach ramp to the house is exceptionally steep and needs careful negotiation.

Excellent location for Glow Worm Cave trips, fabulous hosts, and amazing breakfast, John is a honey expert and so many to choose from at Breakfast.

Drive up to property is steep...but we like a challenge!

Très bon emplacement à 2 pas des grottes et des restaurants, notamment le Huhu, très correct. Le petit déjeuner est varié et copieux. Accueil sympathique.

Les chambres sont grandes mais pas immenses, salle de bain un peu vieillote.

Excellent find. Brilliant, friendly, chatty hosts with a wealth of information. Gorgeous setting and a fabulous breakfast…you will never have more different types of honey to choose from than here !
