Hyatt Vacation Club At Highlands Inn

Incredible hotel villas with breathtaking views! We loved all of the amenities, the campus, and 3 individual hot tubs sprinkled amongst the premises. The villa itself was very nice, I loved the tub! Beautiful, well kept grounds and very friendly helpful staff!

Our room had a great view of the ocean, however the rooms are antiquated and they are missing details that other rooms for the same rates offer. Some of the basic that I believe should be a minimum requirement for a room with this rate is waters, shower caps, and other toiletries. A special touch is highly needed. Our room offered a beautiful view of the ocean; however, it felt outdated and lacked the finer details that other rooms at the same rate typically provide. I believe some basic amenities, such as bottled water, shower caps, and other toiletries, should be standard for rooms at this price point. A special touch would greatly enhance the experience.

The room and view was nice..

The cleaning staff was amazing. However the lady I spoke to a few times was very rude. She even called my cell phone during a my husband's birthday celebration dinner to complain about him smokimg a cigar on the patio ( with the door closed so no smoke could enter the room) Keep in mind our patio is directly in front of an outdoor fire pit and the room has a wood burning fireplace in the room. She was extremely rude about the situation.

Location I guess

They checked us in the room where someone already lived. Imagine our shock when we entered the room and there was someone’s stuff around. We got lucky no one was in the room, but this was an incredibly stressful moment for us. After this scandalous screwup (that I could not even imagine happening tbh) they offered “free breakfast” as compensation. Needless to say we left immediately. And we had to call booking.com for two days to finally get the refund

If you are disabled, I would not recommend this location.

So clean

Where our villa was, ocean view is partial. Would have loved it if there are more options for a partial or full ocean view since this can impose the right expectations. Checking in at 0400pm, would have expected the room to be ready but needed to wait 10-20 minutes. Dining is also disappointing since even as a guest there, there's no option for food room service - so had to drive out again, spend an hour for roundtrip to a restaurant then back. First call to guest services, nobody answered the call so had to call again to get someone to pick up the phone. Villa is spacious, clean, and felt safe around the area. It's good but not too good knowing how much was paid for a nightly stay. Doubtful about coming back here again.
