Palm Desert Suites

Check in was easy, David met me at the property made sure my key was working i received all the codes needed for the pool and wifi. Good place it says pet friendly too if you want to bring your pets. Room had everything you need even full kitchen set up. Al was very attentive and accommodating to all my needs. Will definitely be coming back.

It was a weekend getaway for my husband and me, and we had an enjoyable two-day stay at Palm Desert Suites. David and Jessica were excellent hosts, attentively catering to guests’ requests and needs. When we noticed there was no iron or ironing board, I texted Jessica, and within five minutes, she provided both. The hotel is 3 min drive away the El Paseo shopping district, actually it’s easily walkable.The room was very spacious, featuring a generously sized balcony that allowed us to enjoy fresh air at all times. I would recommend keeping the balcony door open for about an hour before check-in. While I didn’t notice it, my husband initially felt the room had been closed up for a long time. However, after we opened the balcony door, he changed his mind within 15 minutes. We didn’t swim but other guests enjoyed the pool as well. We will try it next time. The room was nice. It was recently remodeled, but they did not complete the bathroom. The shower was not clean, but the rest of the room was nice.

Really enjoyed the location. Great if you enjoy walking and meetings the locals.

Big cockroach found in shower. Don't let the online pics fool you. The bottom inside toilet was stained brown from not scrubbing properly. Closet sliding doors didn't work properly and runners were really dirty. Corners and crevices weren't cleaned well. Felt like I needed to check for bed bugs and in doing so found that the mattress looked utterly disgusting, stained and dirty. Slider didn't lock, had to use piece of wood in runner to secure. Temp of shower was all over the place, would change from warm to cold to scalding every minute so couldn't have a decent shower. Light in bathroom is on a timer and shut off on me which left me in the dark in the shower. Most of the washcloths they gave looked like microfiber dust cloths. Dishwasher was disgusting inside. The plus side was having a kitchen but it needed to be better stocked, no measuring cups or spoons, no colander, no spatula, no ladle, no corkscrew, only one wine glass. Another plus was the big room and great mini-split air conditioner. Jacuzzi shut off at 9pm and the concrete around it needs sandblasted and re-coated, big areas where coating peeled off. Also need to supply pool towels, had to use our bathroom towels and had to ask for more towels for our shower. The place looked like a do-it-yourself job. Only some things were updated and not done very well at that. Shower's still the old pink tile, shower handle and drain look nasty. The place has the potential to be really nice if remodeled properly.

This was one off the worst stays I’ve ever had at a hotel or if you could even call it that ,. Not only when I arrived was my room not ready , the ac was not working in 95f degree weather , but my shower was clogged . And when I called about it no one answered my calls for hours I was stuff in an unbearable hotel room with no accommodation until 10 pm . I check in at 4. This stay was terrible

Hard to describe this place…unusual comes to mind. No signage, no office. Manager meets you on the street to give you the room key because the “office is flooded”. Rooms are huge and are in decent condition. Mattresses and pillows are “just ok”. The big pool is heated, even when 90 outside. We actually didn’t mind that since the hot tub was quite hot and the small pool fairly cold. Managers were very good but even after a five night stay it just felt odd. We were literally the only people in the pool each of the 8x we swam. Nice, yet eerie. The area was quiet, and our rental Jeep survived. We kept the top open so that prying eyes wouldn’t literally pry or cut their way in. Would we stay again? Probably not, unless the rates came way down. It was $1500 CAD for five nights in March…a bit much for what you get.

This hotel has extremely poor communication with clients and does not properly address issues clients may have.

Calls all go to VM and then they text you which is convenient except when your driving or need and answer quickly. There is no registration desk or area or building. So I was lost for 10 min trying to figure out where the poles were from the message in my texts. Final got into my room and it was ok. I had a bed (that had the two concave from all the previous bodies that slept there, the bathroom toilet and shower were old and worn (not renovated), my door was broken and had to figure out how to get the lock from getting stuck in the metal cover. The kitchen has a broken drawer, and the refrigerator was not clean. There is one wall that’s all glass facing the courtyard and the curtain doesn’t cover all of the light coming in so there that all night long.i all these issues and I spent way too much money to stay here - complete price gauge. t was such a disappointing stay. The picture is NOT the too You’ll get so be aware that most rooms seem to be not or partially renovated. Really terrible!!!
