Presque Isle Hotel

I stayed here four years ago and recently on 6 Nov 2025 to attend a local funeral. The building is in the process of an extensive renovation that looks to be close to finished. The room that I stayed in was newly renovated. The bathroom needed some updating, which will be done at some point. Very clean and functional, just the 80s vibe wallpaper. The room was classy. I used to travel before retirement. This is a great value. The beds are new and very comfortable. In fact, I want one. Tasteful decorative bedding was well presented and brand new. A coffee maker, microwave, and hair dryer in room. I paid about $100 per night, including tax. Also there is a bar and restaurant in the building. I did not get there as I was mostly off-site. They have even planted shrubs and are landscaping the site. I spoke with I believe the owner is on departure. He assured me that the small items left to finish were in work. I saw construction that was in progress. But I've never heard any construction noise. The parking lot has some craters and needs paved, but just be aware. This place used to be a real party destination in the 70s and 80s. The owners are definitely all in on getting this right from my experience. There were families with children and couples. Very nice folks. I will stay there anytime I travel their again. It seems like a great place for a stop over for snowmobilers on the trails this winter.

There are a few finishing touches to be done at the entryways, but it is a very minor issue. The steps need replacing outside. Once you walk in the place looks very nice with all new carpet and windows.

There was obvious crackheads living at the hotel and hanging in the parking lot.

Ak, the manager/owner is very nice. Anything, my daughter and I asked him, he was very responsive. The room was very clean, the beds and linens were great!

We liked everything.

Very nice and professional staff. They are working to put the hotel back together, but they’re doing a great job. It’s a nice safe place to stay at an affordable rate.

Location and price

We mainly stayed here for the pool. It was very cloudy and my child only went swimming once. He's typically in the pool multiple times when we book a hotel with a pool. Our room was also beside the laundry room and we could hear washed running the entire time.
