Noise couldn't sleep

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for our trip. Everything was well organized, and we really appreciated the warm hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone visiting!

Hotel Grand Sabarees, Madurai (Stayed one night with 3 families) Rooms were clean and well maintained, though not very spacious. Location is excellent and convenient for temple visits. Morning breakfast and parking facilities were good.

Staff were not very supportive; especially the lady receptionist was often in a quarrelsome mood. The owner should note that while the building is good and comfortable, staff behaviour and selection are equally important.

Hotel room and bathroom were exceptionally clean and well maintained. the staff were very helpful. Very near to temple, railway station and many good eateries nearby. autos and cabs available freely.

The road outside the hotel (West Perumal Maistry Street) was nasty. Couldn't step on the road. We had to pay extra amount for checking out 45 minutes late which could have been waived. Only 5-6 cards can be parked in the hotel premises.

We did not take break fast in the hotel. But, we had break fast at their own restaurant nearby the hotel. It was very good.

Room is very small even for two people. It is not all suitable for three people. However, we paid extra for 3rd person and squeezed and managed to stay.

The discourteous front desk staff, Ms. Kausalya, who was extremely curt and very unprofessional. She needs to be taught how to deal with unhappy customers, rather than being insensitive in front of other guests. Try and solve the issue to win customers by talking to the front office manager or the top management. I was also extremely disappointed with the Booking.Com service, both online booking and the customer service afterwards. I will never use Booking Com to make any future hotel bookings. This is a hard lesson I learnt after being charged Rs 15232.00 for two rooms for a squatter sized room that too without breakfast or other amenities. The room that Grand Sabarees claims to be Standard Double Room is only 4'x3' in size. There is hardly enough space to move. They don't have in-house restaurants or enough staff to manage housekeeping after hours. Also, the housekeeping staff working during the night shift were talking loudly and using vacuums and other cleaning equipment disturbing guests. The soiled towels, bedsheets, and other laundry were being sorted in the corridor on the first floor outside my room. I have not had this bad experience after paying more than most of the guests who booked using makemytrip, tour operators, or direct bookings with the hotel. The front office staff herself claimed that we were charged way higher by Booking.Com that too for an EP or European plan which in hotel parlance means without breakfast. I'm totally disappointed with Booking.Com for fleecing long-term customers and not attending to several complaints I made. The hotel front office reception day time staff Ms Kausalya needs more training on customer service. I heard her talking ill about us to other guests/staff within our earshot. The above comments and feedback are as experienced by my cousin and family, who were placed in another room in the same hotel.
