"Perfect and well-appointed mountain get-a-way!"

10.0

We had such an amazing stay! I had stayed years ago and so enjoyed seeing how the Wyman has been completely updated and remodeled! The rooms are warm and inviting with fresh design choices throughout! The bed was dreamy with The most comfortable new mattress and pillows! I will for sure come back and stay when I am in Silverton next!

"Silverton/Ice Lake"

10.0

We traveled to Silverton to hike the Ice Lakes Trail. Our intent was to head to Ouray after the hike. the day was getting late and we decided to try Silverton. There was not a lot available. The Wyman is a Boutique Hotel with limited rooms. The owners were extremely welcoming, the rooms were newly redone. We got great service, good advice on dinner, and some good conversation. Highly recommend it.

"A TRUE GEM in Silverton"

10.0

You find a better hotel in all of SIlverton. The towels and sheets are of 5 star hotel quality. The hotel has no A/C but when we were there with low 80 temps it was fine as the nights cool off. There is no TV but fantastic high speed internet so bring your iPad. The hotel is in a historic old building but brought up to modern standards. The proprietors were so helpful and accommodating.

"History meets modern comfort"

10.0

The best place to stay in Silverton! The Wyman was super clean and very nicely renovated. The building is a lovely historical building, but the interior of the rooms are spacious, clean and modern with spa-like bathrooms, comfortable beds and all the conveniences. The hotel staff were very helpful when we needed anything. We stayed in a suite room that had a large refrigerator/freezer and table which was great for a family. Having stayed the previous night in a different hotel in Silverton, it was so refreshing to move to a clean beautiful room at The Wyman for our second night in Silverton. The location of the hotel is perfect.

"Luxury in Silverton, CO at The (new) Wyman Hotel"

10.0

I just spent a lovely five days at The completely renovated Wyman Hotel enjoying the outdoors. The Wyman is where adventure seekers can relax and settle into total luxury. The engaging new owners and staff have turned this place into an oasis of comfort. Spent all day running, biking, skiing backcountry,? Do it all again the next day after recovering in the whisper quiet rooms and amazingly restorative beds. Grab a lovely glass of wine or beer and chat with locals who come in everyday for the vibe, make new friends. The stunning decor is so welcoming you never want to leave. If I find my way back into this stunning part of the country, I will find my way back to The Wyman!

"Hotel stay"

10.0

Like being back in the old west. Old time hotel that's been upgraded and in good condition. Nice bar and restaurant. Piano player at lunch. Took train up from Silverton and stayed overnight and took train back next day. Spent evening bar hopping. Did the same trip a couple years ago and will do it again at some future date.

"Peaceful and Gracious"

10.0

Lovely old building converted to B&B. Breakfast was really good with two seatings - 8 and 9. Tea and sweets offered each day from 4-5. Wine and snacks from 5-6. Only historic hotel in Silverton with ground floor rooms. This was huge for us as I have mobility issues. No elevators in historic hotels! Room was very clean and nicely decorated. WiFi worked fine.

"A beautiful quiet lovely place,!"

10.0

After calling several places in Silverton that were too busy to take my phone call or return my call, I walked into the Wyman and was welcomed by a very pleasant gentleman. I was assured that accommodations were available and was offered the opportunity to check the room prior to signing in! That never happens anymore. To our surprise our room was very comfortable and decorated very well. Bath facilities were private with hot shower and plenty of room for our personal items. TV and video available if you desire. I walked through the halls upstairs and down and was entertained by the art work and antiques. Warm cookies, coffee, tea and wine are available In the afternoon/evening. The next morning breakfast is served in the dining room where you are seated with other guests. This was something very unexpected and quite pleasant. We had a nice chat with other folks who were there and we shared vacation stories and recommended things we had done and enjoyed. If you are staying in Silverton this place is a must! I would also like to compliment the staff. Everyone we encountered from check in through check out were top notch and so personable and helpful. Also don't miss the garden next to the hotel. There is a caboose that has been turned into a hotel room!

"Small Room, Big Price"

4.0

I stayed one night in the Steampunk room (one of only a few where dogs are allowed, on the second floor, a queen bed). Good news: (1) The owner/manager, Tana, is a gracious, sincere host. (Although I arrived at the end of Happy Hour, she poured me a second glass of wine and gave me extra crackers/cheese/salami. And she was genuinely welcoming of my dog.) (2) The breakfast was delicious...if you don’t mind sharing a table with strangers. (3) The room is at the back of the hotel, away from the main drag and, therefore, quiet. Bad news: (1) the room was not only so small as to be claustrophobic, but also expensive (almost $200, including $25 for the dog). Not enough flat surfaces to put even a small amount of belongings, so the floor sufficed. (2) The wi-fi never worked, which seems to be a frequent occurrence, judging by other reviews. (3) Don’t expect amenities such as a small refrigerator, microwave, iron/ironing board, table & chair, closet, coffee maker, or hot water in the shower at a consistent temperature. If you find a 1902-themed decor to be charming, have an adventurous attitude, and are willing to forego many modern conveniences, probably you’ll enjoy the Wyman (as most tourists do). The alternatives in Silverton are sparse.
