Perfect location to visit our son and explore St. Pete. Staff is friendly and helpful. Beautifully decorated lobby. Room is on the small side but the bed is comfortable for a great night sleep. This is the second time staying here and we look forward to staying next time we’re in the area.

We stayed at The Moxy for our wedding weekend and had an excellent experience. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, and clearly well maintained. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. Setting up and managing our wedding room block was surprisingly easy, and their team made the whole process smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stylish, well-run hotel in downtown St. Pete.

Perfect Host Hotel for Wedding Guests I am a wedding planner and my couple chose the Moxy St. Petersburg Downtown as the host hotel for their wedding room block, and it was absolutely the right decision. From the start, the property offered the perfect blend of modern style, comfort, and convenience for our guests. The location made it easy for everyone to enjoy the best of St. Pete, and the atmosphere was lively yet welcoming—exactly what we wanted for our celebration weekend. The rooms were clean, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, and our guests consistently commented on how much they enjoyed their stay. The amenities and vibe of the hotel added to the overall wedding experience, making it feel like an extension of the celebration. A special shoutout goes to David, who was incredible to work with throughout the planning process. He was responsive, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly. His attention to detail and friendly communication made coordinating the room block stress-free, and we couldn’t have asked for a better partner. If you’re planning a wedding in St. Pete, I highly recommend the Moxy as your host hotel. It elevated our event and gave our guests a memorable place to stay.

Mackenzie is the best- she went out of her way to make us feel like we were at home. A quick tour, a friendly smile and quick guidance for the surrounding area.

My husband and I celebrated our 7yr anniversary. Moxy and their staff treated us special. They went over and beyond my expectations. I would like to thank the following employees that made our day, stay so special. Kejon,MacKenzie,Charlie, Tiffany, Corey and Charmaine. And thanks to 717 Valet employees as well. I would recommend Moxy too all. Beautiful place, room was beautiful.

Location

When we were checking in there was an activity going on in the lobby bar. It was so loud that it made communication with the front desk staff difficult. The shower water temperature was impossible to adjust it was very hot at the coldest temperature and adjusting it only made it hotter (6:30 am)

This experience did not reflect the level of quality I’ve come to expect from a Moxy Hotel. The room was extremely small with little space to move around or work, the pillows and linens felt very low (dorm/motel) quality, there were no ice machines on any floor, no in-room coffee machines, the coffee shop opens at 7am so early risers are SOL, and the refrigerator both smelled and did not work. I was told maintenance would replace it, but that never happened. To top it off, my shower only dispensed hot scolding water. I understand each Moxy property has its own personality, but the overall quality should be consistent—especially given the rate charged is in alignment with the other properties. Unfortunately, this stay was quite disappointing, and had the accommodations been accurately described, I would have made a different choice. Maybe they should name it “Moxy Express” as it had none of the luxuries the other Moxy’s offer. If you’re expecting similar accommodations as other Moxy’s you may be disappointed as I well. I wish this were more positive feedback, but this was my honest experience.
