Lovely clean room, charming customer service. Overall, really nice hotel.

Our company mainly used this hotel for our employees working on a project in the area, but we will be looking at other options after one employee was quite embarrassed by being given a room that was already occupied. He got quite a shock when he opened the door to find another person already there. That was just the start of trouble, as they charged the entire stay on his personal card (to be used for incidentals) in spite of the room being reserved by a corporate card. Then, because they checked him out of the already occupied room and into another room, they charged him the entire rate again. When we complained, they were unable to really tell us why the mistake happened and were also not able to immediately put the money back into his account, saying it would take 5 to 7 days for the $1110 to be returned. Kind of tough s**t and sorry. After 5 days passed, imagine our surprise when they charged his personal card AGAIN for another $400 after we had closed his bill with a corporate card already and they swore/promised/were confident that they would not charge his card ever again. They cannot control their system and really do not know how it operates. The water pressure is also abysmal, so don't imagine any spa-like shower experiences here. Too many headaches. Find a better location. This is how they do business even though they say otherwise. **UPDATED 08/14/2025** We have since returned to Cleveland on business and, as promised, stayed elsewhere --> in the Fairfield which is freshly updated and a MUCH MUCH better location for service and comfort. I also posted today to mark the day my coworker's overcharge of $440 was finally returned to their bank account. It was a long and painful wait for him. I will never forget Courtyard Cleveland's ineptitude and inability to correct a mistake once they have overcharged. You would think it would be simple, but it is not. Don't risk it. Stay elsewhere. You have been warned.
