Firefall Ranch Yosemite

Superb location to explore Yosemite. Very new hotel, exceptionally clean with all facilities of great quality. Peaceful location. Accepted a late check out without an additional charge. Lovely pool area. Fire pits a nice touch as temperature dropped in the evening,

Was really nice and staff were great. Just lacks a bit of atmosphere, which their other property had. I guess it’s new and will take some time.

The food was good but both restaurants had the same menu for lunch and dinner, so we got tired of what was available. You can't stay on premises for 6 days on one menu no matter how good. They could offer daily specials to keep it interesting. Desk staff were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did not replenish our coffee or supplies unless we asked and did not come everyday as promised. The amenities are concentrated outside the cabins in recreation activities like pool, fire pits, game room. There are few creature comforts in the cabins.

The cabins are spare, far apart and very minimalist. For the price, I thought it would be a lot more luxurious. We had a three bedroom cabin and there were no closets or drawers for clothing or toiletries or hopefully empty suitcases. It gets messy when you have to use your suitcase for a drawer. We had a rack in the room with 6-8 hangers, but that is of little help to travelers. The bath is not equipped to have towels ready when your shower is over, as it only has one hook and no racks or shelves! You have to get them from an adjacent sink room with no door which can be seen from the living area if you don't shut your bedroom door. Awkward! The toilet was dirty when we arrived and still was the same when we left. There was no way I could scrub it. We ran out of coffee pods twice because they only gave us 6 when the cabin sleeps much more. I had 4 cabins for our group and asked if they could be close together. They were as far apart as you could get them. The drive to Yosemite is really far when you factor in the traffic. Plan to spend a lot of time in your car if you stay here. Lastly, but importantly, the pool is not exclusive for guest use and does not have waiter service even though there is a bar and restaurant nearby. The hotel sells day passes to people who are not staying in the hotel, so the pool is busy and loud in the day time. This hotel is more $$$$ than a Four Seasons, but not on the same plane by any means.

Brand new facility, great service and location. The stand alone wooden cottage’s are far the best in the Yosemite region. Fully equipped spacious air conditioned houses. Nice surroundings and delicious food in the dining area.

We loved everything about this place

A well spread out ranch styled property with a nice store in it . The Vilas were well designed with a fireplace

The villa bedrooms were small sized

Large rooms, nice swimming pool.

Large room windows without curtains meant you could not sleep past sunrise. Restaurant was under-staffed or poorly managed. Location was too far from Yosemite over 30 min+ drive away.
