The 409 Bolivar Beach Hotel

My sister and I had a great experience! The location is perfect, close to restaurants and the beach. I believe the room was completely remodeled recently so it was very nice. We felt safe the entire time and the staff was very welcoming and helpful! We would definitely stay here again.

I like how close it was to the beach. The lady I spoke with on the phone was helpful.

I arrived at midnight and was fully unpacked and prepared to take a shower with product in my hair. As I entered the bathroom there was no faucet on the tub and when I called back, I was informed that I was accidentally placed in a room scheduled for maintenance and had to repack all of my belongings and move to a new room on the other side of the hotel. After my shower I went to lay down and watch TV only to discover that it was asking me to hit the instop button on the remote but that button didn't seem to exist so I just went to sleep. Poor experience overall.

I loved it was close to the beach and they accommodated us as we had big boy(pup) with us

It's a fun, little location. You are amongst the private homes and Air BnBs up on stilts. The beach is literally 30 seconds away. You turn down the street flanking the side of the hotel and bam -- the beach, which is clean and stunning. It's convenient and exactly what you want if you're trying to just enjoy the most out of the beach. I stayed for one night and went to the beach three times! If you're looking for a hotel get-away, this is not it. There is no breakfast included. This is a location for folks who want to enjoy the beach and planned ahead with food and other personal needs. Do not come to this location without thinking ahead or stopping somewhere along the way. I also loved the automatic door lock and keycode. Despite it's humble appearance, I think this is an excellent hotel, so long as you're coming to enjoy the beach.

There is no kitchen, just a small fridge and microwave, and the room felt sticky because of the humidity. Yes, there's an air conditioner, but when it's not running you're going to stick to the sheets, which are not made of cotton. They were definitely made with cleaning off sand in mind, which I can't blame the hotel for thinking about.
