Charming 4BR 2BA Only 5 Mins Downtown Riverwalk

It was in a perfect distance from all of our locations. Their washer and dryer were such a convenience so we were able to wash our towels to reuse them.

The keypad would not allow us to enter but it honestly was the best Airbnb we’ve stayed at.

While the house had plenty of of space, it was in a questionable neighbourhood, hence the high fence around the property in the pictures.

We checked in and almost immediately we encountered problems. The toilets backed up with the feces coming up through the showers. We called to get this resolved and were accused of having caused the situation. Nothing could be done until sometime the next day - even there are services available 24 hours- clearly this needed to be done cheap and we could wait with no toilets and showers full of waste. Then at about 10 PM there were shots fired next to the house with four police cars arriving within minutes, followed by loud discussions in the house across the street form more than 30 minutes. In the end we left the house as we did not feel safe. All in all this was one of the worse stays we have ever experienced. This house is clearly purely set up as a money maker. This other issues we had were: - the house was poorly maintained, cobwebs in all the rooms, dirt in the corners - deadbolt on the back door did not work - very loud fan in the hallway that stays on most of the time - gate for the parking was quite small, really best for a compact car. Despite contacting the agency multiple times we got not reply. Spare yourself the aggravation, look elsewhere.

The house was decent.

The neighborhood was rough. The people that lived around the house. Were shooting gun at all hours of the day and night.

Cute house. Very clean. Good customer service.

Fridge did not work and the dryer stayed on all night. Maintance did come and brought a mini fridge and fixed dryer but the amount of money i had to spend on the first 2 days of eating out was not in the budget and i was not offered any type of compensation for a fridge that did not cool properly. To pull into the property parking spot, it’s a very tight fit for a mid size suv so be aware. Bunk beds in back creak horribly.

I enjoyed the beds, very comfy.

I didn’t enjoy the neighborhood, lots of parties and loud music around.

It was very close to the Alamodome, so we were able to walk there. It has a gated parking spot, which was nice. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The internet wasn’t working (so no tv), the front door was difficult to use, the fan in the front bedroom did not work, and the main bedrooms light and fan randomly went on and off throughout the night.
