The facility and the staff were superb. The location was also amazing, just 5 minute walk from the main subway, and 10-15 minute walk from all the shopping streets, food streets, and Gion. The hotel felt clean and new and the private bath was also a great experience for my family. Also, the building next door has 2 authentic Japanese restaurants, if you want to get out of the hotel.

My only gripe is regarding the pillows in the room. We had a king bed, and the pillows provided were small, which is okay, but they were very thin/flimsy. Given everything else regarding the hotel felt "premium", I was a bummer that the pillows were cheap. Other than that, my only other gripe was the breakfast system was interesting. It was a combo buffet with made to order options. Great idea, but the made to order options were just O.K.. The bacon was cold/undercooked (opinion). The above is why I rated this a 9 out of 10.

Prime location in the center of Kyoto. Very luxury room with a high level in Japanese modern design. Top service with kind and professional people. May be my best experience as a customer so far.
