Lidt overraskende at man selv skal rede sengene, men madrasserne er gode at ligge på.

Our stay at Nunoya Ryokan was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the bedding was cozy and inviting, making for a great night's sleep. The facilities were excellent, with a beautiful shower and high-quality toiletries that added a touch of luxury to our stay. The host was truly outstanding—one of the friendliest and most welcoming hosts we have ever met. Unfortunately, I can't remember her name, but her kindness and hospitality made a lasting impression on my daughters and me. The location was also perfect, just a short distance from Matsumoto Castle and other attractions. My daughters and I had a phenomenal stay, and we would highly recommend Nunoya Ryokan to anyone visiting Matsumoto. We would gladly stay here again.

Such an exquisite Matsumoto experience. Laid back, comfortable and friendly. A fabulous welcome from Asako who was very kind and spoke perfect English. Asako was helpful and wise, generous of nature and a warmth of heart. Property is priceless. Perfectly located and the breakfast was incredible ! Highly recommend.

Everything was well organised and professional. A job well done.

Location was great, the owners are upfront and clear about the property's quirks so you know what to expect and experience. Futon bedding was comfortable. The staff are very helpful and able to provide good suggestions on restaurants. There's a cafe on-site that provides breakfast or your caffeine fix.

Generally everything was great, so more of a suggestion/feedback really. I wish there was an option for a kaiseiki meal, that would be perfect for a ryokan.
