"Not reliable. No transparency."

My room was probably assigned to another guest. I was asked to go to another hotel owned by the same management. I was first told I didn't have a booking, then they said Booking.com has a policy about cancellations which I need to discuss with them. Then they said Booking.com does not allow single people to check in. After I negated all these by showing my previous bookings in the week, they said the Collector of Kanya Kumari had instructed them to not issue rooms to single travelers. I then booked a room in a hotel right next to them.
