Worst Nightmare at a Premium Resort – Avoid Despite the Brand Name Stayed: March 22-24, 2026 I chose Radisson Blu Resort Kumbhalgarh expecting a safe, reliable stay from a reputable chain, despite the high cost. Unfortunately, what I thought was my safest bet turned into my worst hotel nightmare. We arrived around 12 PM. The receptionist promised a 40-minute check-in, but after over three hours of waiting—past standard check-in time—no one attended to us proactively. I inquired about the smoking area, and the receptionist claimed it was a "fireless property" with smoking only allowed near the parking lot. We later discovered smoking was permitted everywhere: the bar, pool area, and near the restaurant. Despite multiple visits to the front desk (I spoke to the manager three times), no updates or assistance came. Finally, around 3:45 PM, pressed for the keys and specifically confirmed a pool-view room. The manager assured him, "Yes Sir, definitely." Upon reaching our 4th-floor room after another half-hour wait, our luggage was left unattended outside the door. Worse, there was no pool view—just a blank wall. When I complained, Manager Mr. Jayaprada dismissively replied, "Sir, behind this wall, there is a pool." Even if not visible, he implied it existed. The room itself was unclean, with cigarette butts in the balcony—contradicting their "fireless" policy. Ordering a bottle of water took over an hour, requiring a follow-up call. Mr. Jayaprada (manager) and Miss Yachini (reception) were rude, unresponsive, and unprofessional, especially the manager's condescending tone. Overall, this was the worst resort experience imaginable. Save your money—opt for a cheaper option where expectations match reality. Do not pay a premium for such abysmal service. Also, the manager said 5th floor doesn't have any balcony, that was blatant lie on our face. Mini-bar was also empty.

I had difficulty getting my tea at breakfast time, and I was suprised that I was not asked my preference for tea, or coffee when I sat down in the diningroom for breakfast. The cup of hot water (tea bag on the saucer) was not even full. The reason I mention this is because one would consider this basic. The staff were attentive, and courteous, so there are no complaints in that department.

Bathrooms were smelt, short staffed, service times were very long.
