Hotel Rajyashree Palace

The choice of Hotel Rajyashtree Palace was based on the very good reviews on Booking and Tripadvisor. We can confirm these reviews for the hotel manager himself. Before the stay he was very helpful in organizing boat tours on the Ganges river. During our stay he showed us two temples as part of a city walk and helped us in any question we had, really pleasnat approach. The room photos posted online show a nicer picture compared to reality. Our room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable to sleep on. However, the housekeeping could be even better, you shouldn't look into the so-called "corners", for example greasy light switches. The room requires a refurbishment. The Hotel Rajyashtree Palace is located at a busy intersection, even late at night it is very noisy. Ear plugs don't help either. Sleep is out of the question before midnight.

Staff was very kind. Every day fresh drinks and snacks. Every time someone helpful was at the desk.

Next to a buisy crossing so you hear the City noise

The staff is great. Very helpful Nepalese guy in the staff, always tried to help, as well as Anand, the manager. The room is large and clean. The food provided by the hotel is good, even though it is only vegeterian, not even chicken. The boat trip was nice.

The area is so noisy (trafic and honking) that they give rooms without windows to their foreign guest so that they can sleep. It is better indeeed than being on the street, that make sense, but the impression of being in a room without windows is not very pleasant. So, I understand it but I would not say that I like it. Apart from Anand, the staff does not speak English. There is a relatively long way to walk in very busy streets to the most interesting ghats.

Room and location not great. The room with city view is very noisy all day and most of the night. Hotel is relatively far from the river in a very busy and uninteresting area.

Reception were very helpful when my flight changed I paid booking was not delivered! Also the airport Taxi I paid Booking for was a disaster with a Taxi driver not knowing where I was going, Adnan spoke to him on the phone with directions. Hotel is in a wonderful location with a very interesting 20 minute walk to the Ghats. Well equipped room , and even supplying me with a heater as I had not anticipated how cold the nights were.
