Niseko Hirafu Ski Resort Condo

The instructions are very clear and the place is super clean. In such a little place, everything I needed was there.

Location is great in terms of getting to Niseko and Rusutsu (buses run from the bus stop 7 min away from the apartment). The customer support is great, always replying within 15 min, we were very pleased ! Condo is very new and clean. There are plenty of dishes / pans to prepare food, washing machine, bathroom essentials etc. Very cozy atmosphere. Great value for money!

Keep in mind if you’re combing to ski in Niseko, Rusutsu - the space is very limited, there isn’t much space for skis / boards + drying clothes after the day of skiing in powder is tricky. P.s Аs a suggestion to management - maybe outside lockers for skis / boards and indoor drying machine for ski boots / coats for public use :)

The accommodation was affordable and well located in Kutchan near convenient stores, eateries and roughly 10 to 20 min drive to various ski resorts. The room was nice and clean and well maintained as well.

The heater didn't work very well suddenly changing from hot to cold in the middle of our showers and required some time to heat back up. The room was also rather narrow which made packing or eating somewhat less comfortable, but not a deal breaker.

This place had everything we needed. The staff we met were very nice and the nearby sauna was excellent. This place is ideally located if you want to go to both niseko and Rusutsu.

The aircon is cold which I enjoy. A lot of properties do not allow us to turn on the aircon during winter.

If you’re the type who will frequently turn while you’re sleeping, the bed frame will make squeaky sounds and the screws on the bed seem weak as if the bed is going to collapse. Bed is a thin layer of mattress which makes it hard. There are only 2 flat pillows per room. There’s no view to Mount Yotei. I only see construction site in front of my window. There’s a whole book of guidelines on housekeeping to maintaining the property. This is not a hotel. If you require hotel front desk service like me, this is not for you. This is more like an AirBNB (which I didn’t realise since it’s on booking.com platform) which I do not appreciate. I hate living in apartments and I prefer hotel. It was so bad that I was looking for other lodging during our stay but to no avail sadly. I have attached a photo of my view from the window. Now I’m phobic and will never return to Niseko again. Even if I do, I will make a point to spend more on better hotels near the Grand Hirafu. This is NOT Grand Hirafu. The name of this apartment is extremely misleading. Don’t be fooled.

Appliances

They did not disclose that there would be a new building being built outside my window for the entirety of my stay. They didn't disclose this information in the posting description or in any correspondence prior. I booked a 30 day stay and was woken up every single day with booming backhoes and cranes and construction staff looking in the window.. The building and equipment totally blocked the mountain view. I asked them when I arrived why they didn't mention the construction in the posting and if they could move my location or do something to help and they stopped replying instead of providing any consideration. If it had been a weekend stay I would have gotten over it but for 31 days over my birthday and Christmas to be inside a construction site was very expensive for how disruptive and disappointing.
