The apartment, lobby and entire place was amazing. Our room was great except all the linen and pillows. I don’t have the exact words to describe what we could smell, but it would be a mix of dead cat, feces, and sweat. We thoroughly enjoyed the place except when it was time to sleep. Would we stay here again, probably not… the smell was too bad.

No hotel staff to assist with anything and very limited English. The place was well located though, and clean and large for Japanese standards.

Greta place to stay and very comfortable and close to everything. Room very quiet and very roomy.

There was construction outside and the walls were paper thin. Upon arrival people were working and on conference calls so it was very loud and trying to check in via video was very tough. This is the perfect location for sites and room for family.

Small hotel but everything is handy, room size is good, clean and location is convenient.

The futon mattress was the thinnest and most uncomfortable we had during our 3 week trip in Japan. I communicated that and requested either a thicket or perhaps extra ones so we cousin double up. They said “no”. We had absolutely miserable night sleep. Terrible. Such an easy fix to just get thicker ones. Or extra ones. We would have paid for them. Instead it was just terrible. I would never stay here or anywhere that offered these terrible beds ever again

Great hotel property. Friendly, great location and comfortable.

What a wonderful property. Our family had plenty of space to stretch out and relax. Good combination of western and local accommodations. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto.

We stayed on the 1st floor and the windows are all frosted. Feel like you are trapped inside. The location is great and walkable to everything. There were tiny insects inside the room. Great with kids and family.
