Yuzunoe Machiya House

The machiya is very well-designed, where traditional meets modernity. We were allowed to check-in earlier since cleaning was already finished, which was a plus. All facilities were working properly, and the heated floors/extra space heaters were lovely, especially during the winter! It was nice to to take a bath and lounge on the couches too. Despite there being hundreds of machiyas in Kyoto, I would be happy to come back here.

You have to check-in at a place near Kyoto Station, but the reception is very friendly and they can deliver your bags to your machiya for a small fee.

Stylisches Ambiente, alles war sauber, man hatte einen großen Bereich wo man zusammen sitzen konnte.

Es fehlten ein paar Haken zum aufhängen und da die Zimmer nicht komplett geschlossen sind, ist es sehr hellhörig.

Amazing house, in a really convenient location.

Almost everything was perfect! The location is great and the home is beautiful.

The pillows were a bit rough, but that is a small complaint. The house was amazing.

Amazing house in Japan style. Enough space for relaxing. Apartment in walk distance to grocery stores and most valuable locations of Kyoto.

Shower have a glass door to garden, so at morning it super fresh make a shower.

The heated floors were great, and the bath in the garden was an excellent way to unwind after a day exploring Kyoto.

The couch looks a lot more comfortable than it is. I don't think it can be helped, but leaning back on it is not an options.
