Rinn Shijo Machiya

The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, the place was everything we were expecting from it. The place is beautiful, spacious, well maintained and the bathroom had a big bathtub if you want to relax after a long day. It’s close to the bus stations and it’s really easy to go everywhere from there.

Property was in good shape and it was very nice to stay there

Futon and cushions were not thick enough, so head was not stable and you could feel to much of the floor.

Low doorframes, hit my head three times during first hour of stay.

We enjoyed very much the traditional Japanese home, yet with all the modern necessities. The bath tub was wonderful for us to soak in and relax after a long walking day. It’s great that the reception desk is only a short walk from the Kyoto station, and then a free ride was arranged to take us to the property after check-in. The host was very responsive to send someone out when the A/C unit in one of the bedrooms would not turn on. It’s great to have the mini steamer for our wrinkled clothes.

The lighting in the 2nd bedroom was not bright enough when needed.

The esthetic was wonderful. So much space. Comfy beds, bathroom was great. The little garden was lovely. The kitchen was well equiped.

Traditional house in a quiet street. Kitchen was well equipped and washing machine was a bonus. We sent out luggage in advance and the hotel looked after it for us at no extra charge. Smart TV with Netflix.

Only seating was on the floor. Check-out is early at 10am.

Everything, this is the best accommodation I have ever stayed in. And I have been in a lot of accommodation.
