Loppia Secret Garden by Wonderful Italy

The location was wonderful. We didn't mind the walk into the Village Center. We started out with a walk through the garden before we got there, it's very well lit in the evening and there aren't a lot of stairs. We enjoyed the double masters with their own bathrooms. The kitchen has a nice layout and it has a nice living room the outdoor Garden was a bonus as well as the balcony off the other master.

We didn't like the pans that were offered for cooking they were really a hazard to use the handles are coming loose. We also didn't like that you couldn't get a PDF of the Wi-Fi instructions before you got into the unit because there's no phone reception for contacting them. We were able to get reception a short distance down from the unit at a restaurant closer to the water. There is a bad water leak in the bathroom off the front garden that has been going on for some time and my niece fell when she slipped on it because it was wet it is a continual leak that should be addressed immediately .What was the most disappointing was the electricity went out the night before we left after Dark we threw the breakers several times and that did not work luckily we had bought headlamps with us and were able to get our packing and other things taken care of that night because we had a early departure the next day. Overall the place is lovely it has great potential, the neighbors were nice, but the instructions for getting electricity back on because ours was the only unit that it was out. The instructions they give you with the breakers are not sufficient and got no response from the landlords with information on what to do.

Apartment itself is lovely.

Instructions about apt were non-existent, unclear or just plain incorrect. Only 2 towels for a 4 day stay. Only 1 tea towel. Only 4 coffee pods for 2 people for 4 days and they were cheap knockoffs, not Nespresso. Too much paper work to fill out online. Power goes out if you plug in the kettle. Had to figure out how to restore power ourselves. Instructions were incorrect. Several requests from Wonderful Italy to deal with garbage but we could never get an answer on what to do with it! Overall impression is that it's being managed very poorly.

The location of the apartment was amazing - only a few metres from the Villa Melzi Garden which is a highlight of Bellagio. The apartment itself is very pretty - especially the garden courtyard.

Where do we begin... The stay was extremely disappointing. One of the two showers was completely broken and unusable for our entire 6-night stay, meaning our family had to share one bathroom despite paying for two. The remaining shower that did work constantly overflowed onto the bathroom floor which swelled and warped the wooden floor. We requested a cot months in advance (as offered on the listing) and followed up several times, but only on day 3 of our stay were we told they would not be providing one, leaving our 10 month-old baby without a safe place to sleep for the whole week. Communication with the host was terrible. Most messages were ignored (chasing up the cot, questions about facilities etc.) and when a maintenance person turned up (without notice) they couldn't even fix anything. While there was a surface-level cleanliness to the apartment, many items were not clean or properly maintained. For example: dirty dishes and glassware, food left on the oven tray, a stained dishmat which was unhygienic to use, a broken kitchen bin lid that had to be manually touched to open - gross. The WiFi was extremely weak - even general phone use proved difficult. There was a further lack of facilities to maintain a reasonable living standard: no dustpan or broom, no tea-towel (although was provided by the maintenance person on day 4 upon request), only one bath towel each for a 7-day stay (the flooding bathroom meant most of these were constantly soaked), an iron with no ironing board, just to name a few. To top it all off, the kitchen supplies were laughable. The 'tea jar' was filled with a random assortment of restaurant sachets (sugar, salt, balsamic vinegar - yet only 2 teabags), the oil bottle was empty, and the pepper shaker was bizarrely filled with juniper berries (???). We have addressed these concerns with property management, and are still consistently ignored. This is just not good enough and below the standard of Booking.com.

Joli petit appartement avec grandes chambres et salle de bain privée. À bonne distance de marche du centre de Bellagio, proximité avec une plage un peu secrète, une boulangerie et une buanderie vers San Giovani.

La communication à nôtre hôte « Wonderful Italy » : on nous envoie le code seulement 5 minutes avant le check-in ce qui nous a fait un peu stressé (sans avoir été averti au préalable), pas de parking à proximité alors que c’était dans les informations du check-in (aucune mention de la zone de traffic restrictive non plus, mais ça n’a heureusement pas posé problème). L’appartement est un peu caché et les directions sont limitées. Réponse vague et pas du tout aidante à propos d’items manquants dans l’appartement. On voit clairement qu’il s’agit d’un appartement loué à l’année longue puisqu’il manque des items du quotidien (ex. linges) ou ceux-ci sont défectueux (ex. poivrière). Une des lumières de chevet dans la chambre était brisé… Enfin, le wifi n’était pas très rapide.

The location was really nice even though you had to climb steep hills going back and forth to the center of Bellagio. This was not problem for us. The yard was really nice (upstairs neighbors used it however as a passage way to their apartment). Kitchen was well equipped.

On the first evening we noticed that the other shower overflows and the whole bathroom gets wet if you use it. Additionally, the bathroom floor is made of wood so it can not handle the water and it was very uneven. We did not use this shower after the first evening not to cause more damage. So we only had one shower in use for the whole week. Then after a couple of days, both AC devices broke. They did not work with the cooling setting. It was only possible to use them as fans. We told the staff about this, they asked us to turn off and on the electricity, which did not work and then they didn't answer us anything. So in July, we had to live without AC because nobody came to fix them. Luckily, the apartment was not in direct sunlight and it did not get too hot for us.

Everything was amazing! The location was excellent and the apartment was so cute!

The only thing I would suggest is darker curtains in the bed rooms. They were very see though.
