Casa Yuma, Puerto Escondido

The hotel is very good, in the middle of very calm beach, awesome place to chill out! Bedroom and amenities are comfortable. Staff is very friendly and caring with the guests.

The shower and WiFi could definitely be better! WiFi was losing signal in the room, and the shower works fine (hot water) just in the first 2min which is terrible. The hotel is located around 15min from the center of Zicatela beach where you can find a lot of restaurants which is not a problem if you have a car, otherwise taxi is needed.

Really enjoy the quite excluded location

For the price point, I expected a much higher level of service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short. The service was consistently slow, and the staff seemed inattentive—simple requests took far too long to be acknowledged or fulfilled. There was also no room service available, which was surprising given this is marketed as a luxurious hotel. Small touches that you’d typically expect—like slippers, laundry bags, or even basic welcome amenities—were missing. It’s the little details that elevate a hotel stay, and those were noticeably absent here.

We stayed at Casa Yuma for five nights and it was great! Our room was immaculately clean, the interior design was lovely, bed was comfy, and the lighting offered a relaxing atmosphere. The shower was soothing, the room with the toilet was really small, but it wasn't an issue. The hotel is off the beaten path in the best way. It's situated directly on miles of secluded beach. We felt like we were on our own private island at times. The pool and bar/restaurant were wonderful too. The staff was attentive and made sure we were cared for during our whole stay. We would highly recommend renting a car since the hotel is a few miles from any commerce or city life. It took about ten minutes to drive to the tourist traps and was easy to navigate. We only ventured out a few times since the hotel's restaurant was honestly better than any of the food we ate in the city. I've already raved about Casa Yuma to my friends and I would gladly return if we decided to visit Oaxaca again!

Excelente servicio, gran restaurante

El lugar es muy bonito y se aprecia mucho el poder descansar en un camastro cómodo con sombra. El servicio es excelente y la gente es muy amable. Es una experiencia de Puerto Escondido más tranquila. No lo recomiendo si quieres salir a bailar o cenar seguido a la punta o Zicatela pues el transporte es muy caro y no vale la pena. El wifi falla bastante pero fuera de eso todo excelente!

We had an absolute amazing time at Casa Yuma, the design of the hotel is stunning and super friendly staff! Rooms are great, super comfortable beds, gorgeous views and food is delicious. We will definitely stay there again!

We loved Casa Yuma. It’s a small hotel away from everything but just a taxi ride away to Zicatela restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful to us. Always respectful. We only have suggestions: 1) have bathrobes and slippers in the rooms 2) have a self service water location for refill 3) have a towel kiosk so we can take them from there rather than having to ask the restaurant folks for them 4) add to the breakfast menu like Mexican bread: concha’s, etc… Thank you to the entire team!!!
