Armonia Mercato e Mare

Mitt i stadslivet, nära restauranger och nattliv, intill en genuin siciliansk marknad, med havet runt hörnet, utan att behöva använda bil varje dag.

En nackdel är att det kan vara mycket ljud tidigt på morgonen när marknadsförsäljare anländer, ställer i ordning sina stånd och verksamheten startar. Den som är känslig för buller eller vill sova länge kan uppleva detta som störande.

Un apartament foarte frumos decorat, cu multe spatii de depozitare, mobilier calitativ, spatios, chiar deasupra pietei.

Noi nu avem o problema cu zgomotul dar daca sunteti sensibili e bine sa stiti ca fii d chiar easuora pietei inca de la 6 dimineata incep sa se aranjeze lucrurile in piata si se aude putin zgomot.

Eau chaude insuffisante pour 4 douches le matin

We had a fantastic stay at Armonia Mercato e Mare and would absolutely recommend it. The location is unbeatable—right at the beginning of Ortigia, easily the best part of Syracuse, making it perfect for exploring everything on foot. A special thank you to Sergio, who was incredibly helpful. We accidentally left something in the safe, and he went out of his way to assist us and prevent what could have been a very stressful situation. That level of care really stood out. The room itself was excellent—the décor matched the listing photos perfectly, which is always reassuring. The blackout at night was nearly complete, making for perfect sleeping conditions. We had read that some guests mentioned street noise as an issue, but that wasn’t our experience at all—the noise in the morning was a total non issue and didn’t disrupt our sleep. Overall, a wonderful experience—we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Only minor thing is hot water for the shower seems sparse if there are more than 1 person. Probably a non issue in the hotter months

It had a kitchen but it wasn't well equipped

Noise from the street and upstairs. The place is not in good condition. The sink in the small bathroom is clogged up for example. No nightstands and lights in the small bedroom. Outlets upside down and difficult to access in very small bedroom. No space to put stuff.

The market can be loud in the mornings if you’re using the front bedroom.

The location was perfect. Being above the fish market we wondered whether there would be a fishy smell in the apartment. Not at all!! The fish and seafood are so fresh there is no smell at all and every day when the market closes everything is hosed down and cleaned up. It’s the happening place to be! But easy to sleep at night. We loved hearing the same guy selling his fish every morning (but not early!) and testing the fried calamari. So fresh! We bought cheese, olives and pistachio candy. All right there at our doorstep. Couldn’t have been a better location.

The lighting in the apartment bathrooms wasn’t great but there was a mirror by the front door that had decent light for putting on makeup. (And showers were the best we’ve had in Italy in four weeks!).
