"Disappointing !"

6.0

I will start off my saying that we did have a lovely holiday on Lake Garda . It’s a beautiful lake with plenty of amazing places to visits as well as restaurants in the region we were in , this in fact made the stay better as we could leave the resort and enjoy the beauty . However , our intention was to stay in the hotel and relax ,rejuvenate and enjoy what the hotel had to offer , unfortunately as you will see , my expectations where never met , We booked a signature suite which apparently had an adjoining room with a bathtub, ( which u absolutely did not need unless tour traveling with a child ) which I had no idea because from the photos it looked like it was all part of the same room in any event we went up to the third floor by an elevator you then go outside and walk to your room which means that every time you leave your room to go to the spa or to the restaurant, you walk through the cold corridors taking an elevator get back into the hotel. I’m making this sound complicated. It’s really not. It’s just that it’s very cold in the winter and if one’s coming in and out of the restaurants or spas, you don’t really wanna have to wear a jacket or coat . In any case I explained this to the staff and they quickly offered me the choice of three other rooms. It was later in the afternoon and the lake was covered in fog so I really couldn’t see where I was. I didn’t discover till the next day that the room faced a garden beyond the garden was a pool, but it was dark (winter) but no view . I had no real conception of where the room was located until I went back into the hotel and saw the magnificent splendor of the views that this hotel had to offer,, I still don’t understand why I wasn’t given a different room, even if it was to downgrade into something that gave us a better view , remember the hotel was at half capacity , but in any case it just encouraged us to get in the car and drive around the lake, which is not what we wanted to do, but we ended up doing. !! Clothing optional spa ! It was impossible to enjoy the spa /suana areas as this hotel caters to Germans . And so as u can imagine most of The guests chose not to be covered walking around the spa area Im not prudish by any means , but I this is other level .not pretty!!!! This hotel is super expensive and this was low seasons ,so I can’t imagine what it’s like in the summer and heat !! Restaurant food 5 out of 10 Staff in the hotel from reception to waiters everywhere , 10 out nor 10 Breakfast was great , I feel like I should have been offered some kind of refund but none was offered just rational as to why , never a Im sorry Mr ………

Semplicemente un posto incantevole, che rispecchia il nome che ha. Un'oasi di pace che ti porta in un altro mondo. Vista, struttura, personale, camere, SPA, cibo... tutto perfetto. Quasi da non credere ai tuoi occhi.

Nulla.

"Truly a Magical Experience"

10.0

Cape of Senses is a truly MAGICAL destination. Although we'd been to Italy a dozen times, this was our first trip to the lakes region - and aptly, I thus agonized over which lake to stay beside and which hotel or resort to choose. Lake Garda seemed to be the most our vibe (and also have gluten-free eats) ... and from there, I felt the atmosphere of Cape of Senses would fit us best - But you never know! When we arrived, it was like a sort of paradise. We flew into Milan, rented a car from Sixt, and made the (fairly easy) drive over. We were greeted warmly and offered a beverage as we stepped out onto the veranda to enjoy the landscape. The buildings themselves are architecturally gorgeous - every space feels like a moment - whether you are in your room (beautiful views); the spa; the lounge; the lobby; the restaurant; the rooftop restaurant; etc. One of the best things about COS is the staff. I spent quite a few emails going back and forth with Laura about food (we have a food allergy), boating excursions and just general questions - she was a gem! Always helpful and responsive and when we arrived, she greeted us - She made me feel totally welcome and the things she helped us plan were ideal. Thank you! Also, she had the food & beverage Manager meet with us Day 1 to assure me that our food needs would be no problem (this never happens). Manuel from the restaurant and Michele from the lobby bar were likewise amazing - but truly, every staff member is fantastic. What was unique was that even though you are at a luxury resort, the vibe is so relaxed and welcoming - you roam as you please; the staff is attentive when you need it but they give you space and room and are friendly rather than overwhelming. Whatever you choose to do is "okay" - and they have a sense of humor. Favorite moments were: Our boating excursion planned through COS; our visits to the spa, especially the lounging room during thunderstorms; the heated pools; and the food - especially in the lobby bar. We loved the rooftop restaurant but for a more casual vibe (and more 'typical' Italian food) we also enjoyed dinner in the lobby area 2 nights. They were always quick to bring us warm glutenfree bread (an indulgence!) at every meal - so nice. Our room was impeccable - we had a bath and I used it every night - such a nice luxury to cap off the night. Just a couple of minor suggestions - It was a little confusing to understand where and how we could travel in the company vehicles (with their driver) - we weren't there long enough to want to roam but it would be nice to know; also, if the main restaurant had a small amount of 'typical' pastas for nights when you don't feel like a 3 course dinner; and of course, selfishly, more gluten-free options that are safe for celiac - there were a lot compared to the typical resort, don't get me wrong; but it wasn't always clear what was 100% safe, especially at breakfast so I stuck with the basics (a wider variety of baked goods besides just 1 a day would be nice). The guests were also extremely interesting and pleasant - a mix of couples, singles and families. Everyone mainly kept to themselves but everyone was relaxing and enjoying the wonderful atmosphere - at the time we were there, I'd say it was only about 25% Americans (which was nice to have a greater range of people there). Everyone is amazingly fluent (in many languages) so there's never any concern - and its fun to practice your Italian anyway. Cape of Senses is a beautiful place for reflection & relaxation; and we cannot wait to return. THANK YOU to all of the management and staff for a truly unforgettable experience. Candace & Brice
