Parque España 21 by Wynwood House

Location was great, safe to walk around to many different places. The property was good and safe as well, however the service and communication with the property was poor. We were not able to check in until after 2pm even though we paid extra for a 12pm check in. After communicating this to the property, I was told that they were just making sure everything was ok. When it was clear that she was still cleaning. There was not enough hot water to shower, only enough for about a 3-4min shower, we had to split our shower times throughout the day and night, there was not enough toilet paper or towels or enough light to illuminate the rooms. We had to use our cell phone flashlight once it was dark outside. Walls are very thin so you can hear everything that is happening outside, but that was not a big issue for us as we were already expecting that from reading previous reviews.

To start, the airport transfer never showed up. After they finally responded, we waited an hour for someone to arrive. He had no idea how to get around the airport, and wanted us to wander the airport to come find him. He also only had a compact sedan when I paid for an SUV as I had six bags. We took a cab. We arrived at an apartment with a leaking shower, broken coffee maker, broken iron, no latch on the exterior door (in CDMX!) and sewage smell from the drains. I had to barricade the balcony door with a broomstick, pour a bottle of detergent and water down the sink, and burned scented candles for days just to hold back sewage smell (and my own vomit). It took two weeks to get those issues fixed. The cleaners (an extra charge) never came on time and argued every time I refused to let them in on the wrong days (I was working and could not let them in). I spent a month there because everything else nearby was full. They sent me to multiple other buildings as alternatives that were even worse. They didn’t tell security at those buildings I was coming though, so I had to wait in the rain for half an hour for them to let me in. If you want to fix anything, the company does nothing. I had to threaten to contact the ministry of tourism for CDMX (who was conveniently located across the park!) before anything was done. Never, ever, stay with this company. The unit was bad. Their lack of interest to fix it was disgusting. Location was great. Dogs at Parque España were a delight.

Self contained apartments that are relatively quiet. Newish kitchen utensils (Aug 2024). Couch was dirty, extra saggy & the place felt strangely like a prison. Shower was gross. The view out of the apartment is of a carpark & a huge grey concrete wall. I've stayed at other Wynwood apartments but this one was easily the worst. There's no idea of service just what they can get from you.

Many mosquitos. The windows don't have screens. The staff downstairs smoke and so the apartment smells. There were two devices that looked like they had microphones in the apartment, one behind the fridge & one in a wardrobe. I've stayed in a log of hotels & apartments and not seen this. The wifi didn't work, instead they have you connect to the nearby apartments routers, s then it doesn't work in all areas. They won't refund any nights if you make a mistake or your plans change. They blame the booking agent.

Great place to stay, clean and in a great neighborhood. Would definitely recommend.

Last min our check in was pushed later, coffee machine didn’t work (cute cafe down stairs was a fine alternative tho) and it wasn’t quite as clean as I would have liked. Also the windows didn’t have screens so at a certain point in the evening you had to choose between cool air and mosquitoes or warm air and fans

The location is great, right across from Parque Espana. One of the bedrooms is located in the front of the building, right on a busy street. Keep in mind, you are in a big city so there are lots of noises, especially in the early morning with garbage pickup. The bedroom in the back was great with a small attached private patio.

There are limited outlets in each room. In the bathroom, the only outlet is on the light switch which is right next to the toilet and far from the mirror. Not ideal for a bathroom. The elevator was strange because it doesn't stop at the exact floor, sometimes slightly above or below. Made us nervous to use.
