The Port Hotel

Location , quiet area , close to everything coffee and restaurants. Beautiful town !

This was a unique place to stay, and we enjoyed our time here. The Moonlight Tavern was very nice and the food was great! Nicole, the innkeeper, was very sweet and helpful.

We were very happy with our stay!

Quaintness, history, location

No stairs

We love the location, and the size of the room and how quiet the hotel is!The breakfast/snack room was well stocked and had lots to choose from. The check-in checkout process worked smoothly!

Just a couple of simple things that would have helped make the stay more comfortable 1. Remove the plastic mattress cover!!!! It made the bedsheets slip and also made us overly warm and uncomfortable- it makes noise when you move - I recommend you invest in higher quality mattress pads that are not plastic but are waterproof if that is your concern. This would make the bedsheets slip more inviting. For us this is a bit of a deal breaker, we would not stay again with those plastic covers. 2. Have a shower Mat or carpet of sorts for when you step out of the shower. The floor gets slippery when wet and could be dangerous, we used a hand towel.

We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. The location was great!

We could not find the volume remote for the TV. Also, couldn't find any buttons on the TV for volume (or anything else!)

It was a beautiful and comfortable room.

I did not like that there is not an elevator, and the rooms were on the second floor. I only stayed one night and never saw another person. There was no staff on site that I could see.

The continental breakfast was great! I would suggest keeping more cartons of milk on hand, as there was not any for our second day during our stay. Using the aseptic cartons is a huge advantage. You never have to worry about products outdated. So keep more available.

The description,instructions/access to the TV. We were not able to watch the TV at all, during our stay. Perhaps, make it as easy as the one in the kitchen area, to access?

There wasn't a thing we didn't like! The room a was amazing, the staff was amazing, and so was the supper club!!!

This hotel is very quaint and has a very cozy feel. It's not your typical hotel, it has a Bed & Breakfast feel, no front desk, you enter and the stairs lead to pleasing bedrooms. The owner greeted us and was inviting and friendly, they are working on getting an elevator so that will be a huge benefit for them. We are at the adjoining dinner club/bar and had a very enjoyable time and the food was delicious. The shopping was just enough for the hubs and be close to the water (even on a chilly day) with the pubs and restaurants make for a fun day! Highly recommend
