Clean room and very friendly staff

Nice staff. Very clean. Staff attentive. Needed thermostat fixed, staff was there within minutes and fixed it. Also needed an extra pillow and it was delivered within minutes. Restaurant was hit or miss. But manager did fix all issues. Over all a beautiful addition to Trinidad

Great location to downtown within a short walk to shops and several restaurants. Staff is friendly, beds are comfortable and the hotel has plenty of free parking. The in house restaurant/bar is a nice convenience and the food is decent. There is a small convenience store located in the lobby area offering a good selection of snacks, beverages and microwaveable meals. The pool and fitness room are decent but we wish they had a hot tub. In front of the hotel, there is a nice “small” scenic area to walk around and it looks like they are currently working on adding a playground area for children next to it. The big negative is that housekeeping needs considerable improvement. This was our second stay at this hotel in the last year and we noticed the same lack of cleaning in the bathroom; mildew throughout the shower area, grout in tiled floor looks like it has never been cleaned, urine stains on wall and tile surrounding toilet. Terrible water pressure in shower and impossible to regulate water temperature; temperature fluctuated from extreme hot to cold during shower. Also, on this visit, the coffee station in the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. The Keurig coffee maker worked fine but we had to clean out the pod cup due to coffee grounds and also clean the inside and under the tray that it sits in due to thick dried coffee liquid. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but would have enjoyed it more if the bathroom and coffee station had been thoroughly cleaned.

It was Clean, staff was Friendly and was very pet friendly. Liked the Big room and the 2 Dog Parks.

Second time to stay at this property. Excellent location and well developed grounds to enjoy. I would recommend to all but would caution that there is a nearby homeless population that hangs around by the river adjacent. Generally, seems harmless but good to be aware. Otherwise top notch.

I saw the reviews and it was a perfect stop on our way to Colorado. This place is absolutely delightful!!! Charming water wheel and creek out front and a View of the mountain with the Trinidad sign on it. There is a river out back and just so pretty. The town of Trinidad is a block away and absolutely wonderful. You can tell they take pride in their city. They have a full bar and food and even a grand piano in the lobby. We were very happy and even tho kids were running around above us, the night front desk person handled it beautifully. We will stay here again for sure!!!

Great hotel. New with a restaurant onsite for evening meals and a full bar. Clean throughout.
