Sierra Motor Lodge - A Sierra Blue Hotel

Appears to be a rehabilitated rooming house or train crew dormitory. The shared bathroom option was "unique" so if you want your own bathroom you need to make sure and order it specifically. Nice job of upgrading the rooms, but they start as something spartan to begin with and noise between rooms is a problem. Furnishings are okay; the queen bed was plenty comfy. Nice upgrade in my private bathroom. Since it's a block away from the Mojave train yard there is some noise reduction, but you can still hear the Union Pacific throughout the night, especially if you are a light sleeper.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a hotel offering rooms at $60 a night. We stayed in a deluxe double suite with bathroom. We were pleasantly surprised. It was clean, beds were comfortable (memory foam!), the space was well thought out with decorations, soaps k shampoos, and a large smart tv, and we were happy with it during our one night stay. Keep expectations reasonable because this is a budget motel. The building is old, the walls are thin, and the room is small. Shower is tiny, but manageable. Still, it was comfortable to be there. Contactless check in meant we didn’t even have to talk to anyone. Codes on the doors meant we didn’t even need a room key. All in all, well worth the $60. Would stay again.

Fun place, unique experience. Very Mojave, great if you’d like to do your own thing and get in and out. Complimentary coffee in the lobby, exquisitely stocked vending machine and a friendly staff. Convenient. Minimal but very very clean. Trains galore.

Rooms are clean and comfortable Every person I talked with was vary helpful i stayed in a couple of motels in Mojave this was the best for the money!!! Again the best of the mid grade motels in Mojave!!! For the extra ten dollars a night a far more comfortable room!

The customer service at this facility is poor. I had trouble using the amedities at the hotel and got zero response, ultimatley increasing the cost of my stay.

Big TV in the lobby with a beer-stocked refrigerator was great for watching games (MLB playoffs in our case) with friends.

I had a trip to Tehachapi, but all the hotels there were overpriced and had bad reviews, so I opened my search radius and found this gem of a hotel only 25 mins away. There was plenty of parking and self check in was a breeze - just like checking into an Airbnb with a code on the door. No one was at the front desk when I arrived at 9:30pm or when I left in the morning. You just text when you checkout. I was a little disappointed at first to see I was in the front room, 101, which was right by the front door. But actually it was just fine. There wasn’t much noise at all. The room was nicely decorated. The bed was more comfortable than the last Hilton I stayed at, and the room was cleaner. The bathroom was modern looking and the shower worked great and there was plenty of shampoo, conditioner, body wash. There was a small AC unit that worked well. I kept the fan in it running at night for some white noise. The room felt private and safe. The only thing I would say is if you are used to sleeping in a completely dark room, bring an eye mask. I highly recommend this place over the chain hotels if you are staying in the area.

Very nice and clean. Excellent value. Best hotel under $100 a night in the area.

L’hotel est propre et bien tenu même si nous n’avons vu personne à l’accueil…. Le seul petit bémol est la voie ferrée qui passe derrière l’hôtel et où passe des trains de marchandises…. Mais attention cela ne remet pas en cause la qualité de l’établissement !

Good bedding and towels, clean shared bathrooms. Old building, room windows are not fully insulated and may hear railroad noise.
