Love Hotels Kadoka by OYO at Badlands SD

Did not get a Room All Sold Out !!

If just looking for 2 beds and a hot shower, this is your place. There was also a microwave. Very basic bare minimum. A very old and worn place, but clean enough. There was no coffee, no ice, no channels/cable for the TV (so just a blank screen), wifi functional but not able to stream a movie or anything. It was safe, pretty much nothing around, enjoyed the view of the plains/grassland, and stray cats liked to come and sit by our door. My kids liked petting them.

The woman working the front desk was very kind and helped when we had problems with our booking. The property is under new management, has very few employees, and needs renovation. The OYO company themselves were extremely difficult to work with and did not adhere by their cancellation policy and charged me incorrectly. I was unable to get ahold of anyone at the company who could actually help. I will never stay at an OYO property again.

Did not stay could not even get the TV to work

We shows after a 9hr drive. Not a soul was in the lobby, only a buzzer and a note with a phone number in case the buzzer didn't work. 20mins of buzzing and calling and nothing. It was 11:30 at night and we passed up dozens of hotels an hour before that. Worst experience ever. Do not reserve a room here

Didn't stay pictures was different than seeing it in person

The worst place I’ve ever stayed. It’s a construction zone. Feral cats , in window air conditioning has holes all the way around it giving free rein to bugs. No soap . Sticky table and counters. Uneven and broken stairs and not handicap accessible. Carpet coming up everywhere , property is all a mess as well.

Not so good

The regular staff were called away for a family emergency. The replacement, Brian, was not trained in how to use the computer system and was not able to check us in. We were not able to stay there. The reservation was cancelled. We had to stay at another hotel.
