Love Hotels Kadoka by OYO at Badlands SD

I booked online and drove nearly 500 miles to get there, but by the time we reached, they said they did not hold our bookings. Worse experience.

Don’t recommend this property, there wasn’t any staff onsite and we couldn’t check in. Someone was suppose to call us but we never received a call. I felt like I was in danger. The office was open but again no one was there to check us in. This property totally mis-represented itself. The pictures on the website are NOT current. It was messy, dirty and disorganized. Do not stay here!

Booked rooms, arrived at destination, motel was closed up looked like it hasn’t been open for years, don’t know how epdia can be allowed to book rooms for a non existent hotel.

I booked a room and they didnt say they closed for the season. Showed up to no body at the property.

It’s not functioning

It would have been fine if there had been hot water, wifi and tv. And office staff, etc.

I was allowed to book into an abandoned hotel. There was no staff. No hot water or wifi or tv. The manager from their hotel in Murdo came to open the place for me. I never saw staff again. I left after 2 nights and have tried in every way possible to get a refund for the 3rd night. (which they promised me by text) After many, very frustrating attempts I finally gave up on getting any refund. I will never book a stay at any LOVE Hotel, again. Or book anything through Bookings.com because they would not talk to me once the stay was over. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE.

Dear Expedia, I didn't like that you allowed me to book a reservation at a place that has been closed for a year. I didn't like that I had to hustle to find a place to stay that evening after being on the road all day. I cannot rate my stay at Loves Motel as they have been closed ~1yr.

Closed and we didn't know about that.

The hotel was closed. They accepted the online reservation. Good luck to find accommodation in the middle of the night. Horrible experience.

We arrived at the hotel and there was no sign for office so we knocked at what we thought was the office. No one answer the door or when we called the location. There was a guy with a stroller that came by and ask if he could help and we told him we paid for a room so he said he would call them. He was on the phone and told us they would come out. He went away and no one came out. After 30 minutes we went to town and found out by other hotels that they have been closed and that the same thing has been happening all summer to other vacationers. Expedia needs to take them off their list of hotels. I’m currently trying to get my money back for a stay that did not happen.
