SpringHill Suites by Marriott Kalamazoo Portage

This hotel was the perfect choice for our family vacation. It was in a great central location for everything we wamted to do.

The only issue I had with this property was the bedroom itself which is the main reason I was there. The shower was wonderful and the pool and hot tub were great. But when I tied laying in the bed or sitting in the couch it constantly felt like something was crawling on me or jumping on me. In the end I left and didn’t sleep there

Pool area was just full of wet towels piled up and other debris. Im guessing it had just been very busy and staff hadn’t gotten a chance to clean up yet.

The location was convenient and the room was clean and comfortable.

The room was very clean. The layout was nice with plenty of space. Staff kind and breakfast is good.

The bed is hard and lumpy.

Spent two nights at this property due to its location. It was just off the main strip that had all the restaurants and shopping. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They had cookies in the lobby daily which my son loved and their breakfast was great. They had bacon, eggs, waffles, toasts, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal and a few other items. They also had lots of spaces to relax. There is a nice backyard seating area with a gas fireplace, an indoor work space and lots of seating in the lobby with a licensed bar. The rooms were very spacious with a couch seating area, a desk to work, a mini bar space and a spacious two bed sleeping area. The only downfall was that the pressure in the shower was very weak. But the bathroom was big with the essential amenities. There was a nice pool and weight room but we didn't use either.

Gorgeous property! Lovely area, and lovely outside sitting area. Absolutely loved our stay.

If you have kids at Western this is the very best hotel in the area. Staff is great, super clean and comfy spaces.
