SW Beach Hotel

I liked how close the property to the Hermosa Beach pier and the contactless entry into the building.

I did not like that my room was not ready at 4p. I had an event to attend and waiting for the room to be cleaned threw me off my schedule.

We booked this hotel specifically for the location and price. The price for this location was great! The rooms were very clean, we had a small kitchen which was perfect for us! The rooftop area was amazing, we watched the sunset there a couple of nights. They also provided many items for going to the beach which was an unexpected treat.

We didn’t know there wouldn’t be an elevator, it would have been nice to know that ahead of time.

Location and free bike usage

Hot water went out due to electrical problems. However it was corrected quickly once the electrician arrived. The room with no windows was ok until I saw the sliding glass doors open to nothing. That was creepy. Room 104

Location was great.

There was a pile up of what looked to be spilled and spoiled milk that let off a rotten smell once opening the fridge. Leaking ac unit from ceiling Was told No shower hot water due to shared water source with another room . Upgrade to a new room and no hot water in shower either. Experimented with shutting off our room heater and the hot water in the shower started to work.

Location and rooftop is great

Power outage two of the three nights which meant no hot water as well as electricity from about 2 am to 11 am Front door doesn’t lock so we had people come inside the hotel between 2-3 am pounding on doors screaming. If the front door at least locked properly this wouldn’t happen. Staff was not accommodating when dealing with these issues either. Saying they would compensate for the power outages and nothing come of it when contacting them or booking .com customer service Wouldn’t recommend this hotel based on competency of management

The location and the free bikes to ride and enjoy the STRAND. The house keeping ladies were super accommodating and helpful!

Perfect location and it had everything I needed, thoughtful touches and perfect place to stay. The bed was amazing too.

There was a power cut the morning I was checking out so I had no wifi or hot water. Something that was not their fault though.

My boyfriend and I stay in Hermosa Beach once a year to celebrate his birthday, and this year was our first time staying at SW Hotel. I can’t believe we didn’t discover this place sooner — if we had known, we would have been coming here every year! The price is very reasonable compared to other nearby hotels, and the location is perfect — right in the area we love near the beach. Hermosa Beach is the best place for bar hopping, and we always enjoy spending time on the beach in the morning and evening before coming back to relax for the night. Our room was perfectly equipped with everything we needed — you could really feel the owner’s attention to detail. The balcony with an ocean and pier view, the kitchen where we could cook, and the friendly and welcoming staff made our stay even more special. On our last day, one of the staff members told us about the rooftop, so we went up to check it out — it was beautiful! I even started imagining having a small wedding there next year. I only wish someone had mentioned the rooftop when we first checked in so we could have enjoyed it the night before. Although the hotel is small, it’s incredibly clean and well-equipped compared to others in the area. I’ll definitely be coming back soon with my girlfriends too!
