Derby City Gaming & Hotel - A Churchill Downs Property

I liked the rooms they were clean. And the location of the room was right by the track. Very beautiful

The room was cold. The half blanket was not heavy enough. The heater would not go up. Also I did not get my surprise cookie on the day of my birthday. That was one of the other reasons I enjoyed staying at the hotel overnight on my birthday. That was disappointing.

Very clean and well maintained

Exceptionally clean and well furnished. The decor was all derby themed and interesting. I’m very familiar with the area around the hotel and was surprised how the hotel grounds seem to be isolated from the surrounding industrial area. Being next to the horse training facility helps. I was also surprised how quiet it was.

We were just there one night while work was being done on our house so we didn’t really visit the restaurants or casino. The only thing we would change is that you can’t control the temp of the room and there’s not much in the way of warm covers.
