Autrain Motel

Very nice for what it is. Felt safe and welcoming, short walk to the lake and short drives to pictured rocks!

Room was clean, but carpet was old and ripped, and overall, would not have stayed here if I saw it in advance. Had to check in a gas station next door, they seemed confused by the process. Was good enough for a one night stay, but glad to be out the next morning.

Location was ok condition of room could be improved. Checking in and out of grocery store felt awkward.

It was clean and welcoming, I love that it had two separate bedrooms and a little kitchenette. I would stay there again.

We didn’t get in till 10 and they had to leave the key in the laundry room. It was very creepy, old furniture, rust stains in the sink, white towels that were so disgusting we didn’t even shower. Bed was okay. Broken levalors where we had to tape napkins up to have privacy. Curtains old and dingy. Carpet torn and ragged. I would have cancelled and got my money back but it was so late and we were so tired.!!

We liked that it was a block off Lake Superior. Even though it was old,, we didn’t mind that. But the carpet was dirty and torn, only HOT water n the shower, the bed was hard but the bedding was clean!!!!

Would rate 0 of 10 stars. Outdated, broken down, not clean. I'm fine with an older place or a 2 star facility if it's clean. The mismatched towels might have been laundered but they definately were stained. Water from tap in the room was literally brown. Air conditioner was so dirty we opted not to turn it on--luckily we had a small fan of our own we used. The sheets were clean and no bed bugs plus we had pre-paid, so we stayed. This was the worse hotel/motel we have ever stayed at.

Old and dirty needs updating ,bed was wore out carpet needs replacing blinds had big holes in the curtains needs to be upgraded ,what a dump

Nice to have access to gas station/small grocery store and they have good soup and pasties!

There was a terrible smell in the room.Could not sleep at night as it felt suffocating.
