Galaxy Hotel Downtown

The view from the hotel room was beautiful and within walking distance to a lot of shops and food

The blankets given were very itchy and there was only one comforter for the 2 queen beds in our room

After I had told the front desk of the problems I had faced during my time there they were good with following up after i left for a solution.

Unfortunately. the room was dirty upon arrival. There was hair and water spots in the bathroom, the floor was not vacuumed thoroughly there was papers lying behind the curtains, there was no remote control for the tv and no additional lock on the door. Also, the main lock on the door didnt work properly. The walls were paper thin and I heard everything from the hallway and the room next door to me. I was there on business so I had attempted to fall asleep early but was awaken twice, once by a woman who seemed to be locked out of her room complaining that she will leave the establishment because she was unable to get back into her room and the second time by my neighbors who were super loud, blasting their tv speaking loudly (they were probably drunk) then hearing them snore loudly through the paper thin walls. Unfortunately this stay ruined my business trip as i was not well rested from the above mentioned. When I had called the front desk to resolve the issue, whomever was manning the desk at 2AM laughed at me and said there was nothing he could do. I was very upset by this behavior of the front desk as well, unable to alleviate a situation on a weekday this early in the morning. I will not be staying at this establishment again in St. Petersburg. Probably one of the worst hotel experiences I have had and I have been to many.

Beautiful view great location very walkable. Everyone was extremely friendly.

Paid parking is odd because it's clear that other people live full-time in the building. So there is not enough parking.
