Wild Rose Casino & Hotel Emmetsburg

We looked at other places close to West Bend that were way cheaper but decided we would rather pay a bit more and have a little nicer night. Compared with other hotels at rates better than 119.00 a night, this is pretty disappointing. No fridge, no microwave, toilet had ring in it. Casino was alright but very small. Continental breakfast was not a breakfast. Packaged danishes that you would get out of vending machine, milk and orange juice. I wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

We have always enjoyed concerts at the WildRose but this concert was embarrassing! There needs to be a more physical staff presence to stop hecklers in the crowd. Lorrie put on an awesome concert but she will probably remember Emmetsburg for the people that shouted out at her.

I went to the Casino with great expectations. The staff was rude and incompetent. I wanted to play craps but the pit boss said they don’t have staff to open more than half of a table. I asked to play black jack but they had one table that was full. The staff was inappropriate with my fiancé and asked her to leave. I wanted to stay longer but the night was terrible and I told staff I would never return. The staff responded with “fine... we don’t care. It’s time for you to leave “. I won $1500 In 45 minutes and wanted to gamble more but I promise I will never return. Ever!!!

Hotel was very nice and the new Sportsbook was really cool as well. Staff was exciting and very helpful. They showed that they were happy to have me at the place and in the hotel. Room was comfortable.

Nice clean rooms and reasonably priced. Staff was top notch from telephone call inquiring about rates to check in to check out. Most impressive was that, sadly, forgot something in the room and when we called the hotel to ask if by chance it had been turned in, they took our info. Called us back within minutes to let us know it had been found! They were even kind enough to put it in the mail for me! Now that’s customer service! Restaurant was closed and the only thing open in the small town at 9:00 was A&W. Even then it was only take out and they were closing.

We were traveling through during torrential rains headed for South Dakota. Much to our surprise we found the Wild Rose Casino in the middle of a cornfield and decided to see if we could get out of the rain for the night. It was a great stay, inexpensive (during the week) and comfortable. The room was very large, two comfortable beds and a large bathroom with a great shower. I'd love to see some decorating to make it homier - it has a bland effect. That said, it was clean and comfortable and the front desk staff very pleasant and cleaning staff attentive. My husband and I decided to get away for the weekend. We played at wild rose Casino before, so we booked a room. Sure was nice being able to drink and not worry about driving home! The room was just right. We stayed in a standard king room on the third floor. It was quiet. Nice bathroom with very good water pressure in the shower. We will have to do this again.
