The Skylight Hotel

There was no breakfast. Just coffee.

This hotel was very unique and clean. The staff was wonderful and helpful. The downside is that there are about 40 steep stairs to climb.

The building is old but still beautiful. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Great historic building; great room; and Lugusta (the manager) was terrific. Highly recommend and it would be wonderful to go back some day!

I love the history of the building and how well it is kept. Very clean and professional environment located downtown..We highly recommend this place.Also love the fact it still looks historic on the outside and the inside is historic and contemporary. truly historic hotel! love it!

Water took for ever to get hot. Shower was a phone booth. Hallways echoed from others outside the room. Toilet was not anchored properly (Eeeep!). No back-up roll in the room. Bring bottled water.

This hotel was such a pleasant hotel stay! I love this place! I'm have to to admit to being one of those folks that were "skeptical" of others' reviews. It seems crazy that a 2-star hotel in Greenville MS could get such good reviews, especially when they say stuff like "scary" and "only street parking" and "only an urn of coffee available" (same thing as scary I know... but still - a whole different type of scary for coffee drinkers!). I have to say I felt more welcome here than I ever was at a Ritz and had a more comfortable room that any Conrad. Bottom line is that this hotel is exceptional. They have figured out the 'secret sauce' of making guest's happy without offering them a lot of extra amenities - and I, for one. applaud them! I completely understand if you are still not convinced from this review or the other reviews on Trip Advisor, there are so few at this point that you shouldn't be, but I encourage you to look at other travel review sites, just like I did, and I think you'll find more consistency than most hotel can claim. (P.S. Jim's Café down the street has great coffee and breakfast.) Would I stay there again? Heck Yeah I Would! In a heartbeat!

Hotel is really nice and staff is so kind. I will stay here for the next time.

We spent one night in Greenville and this hotel was perfect. The sweet lady who manages the property was very kind and helpful. She even met us at the door and assisted with our bags. The only draw back for us was the stairs(no elevator). If it weren’t for my asthma I wouldn’t have minded the stairs.
