Hotel Mar Vista

Spacious rooms, very comfortable beds. Sofa, table and chairs. Sunset view. K-cup machine, with decent pods. Quiet.

Nothing was bad. Just as expected. Double check prior to booking whether pool is open. Do not expect gourmet breakfast option.

We loved the location and found the staff to be helpful and courteous.

The grab bars in that bathroom were extremely dirty, especially by the commode. I was going to call the front desk to let them know but there was no phone in the room. We were exhausted and chose not to deal with it and just avoided touching any railings in the bathroom. We also were not aware somehow that there was a PET Fee as well as a daily Pet Use fee. This may have been my oversight when booking our stay, but I did not remember this I for.ation being provided in the booking.com information. If it is there, perhaps highlighting it so it is more noticeable would call the users attention to this extra fee.

The location was good.

The sink in the bathroom had remnants of soap on the rim,it also looked like coffee had been poured in it and not cleaned up. Some of the lights in the room didn't work There was no phone in the room. The elevator was not working. The women's restroom on the second floor had a full roll of towels in the towel holder, but it wasn't fed through so that you couldn't dry your hands.

The Staff was so friendly and helpful. They were so cheerful and positive. Also, very knowledgeable about the town and where to eat and what activities were going on. Would stay again just because of them and the price.

Brought my kids and they love to take a bath, the bath tub had rust and paint chipping like it had lead in it or something right were the tub stopper was and the carpet was pretty badly in need of cleaning. Also, the web said there was a pool and the pool was not in use so no tub or pool was a major bummer for the kids while mommy was at work with the car. They were with Dad in the room with no kids channels, no tub and no pool. Wasn't ideal. The beach smelled bad because of the Dead Vella, Vella, not normal for Ocean Shores but that was also a bummer for the kids.

Proximity to the beach was great. Beds were comfortable and room had AC/Heat.

Bathroom had issues with tub (peeling with tub paint and bubble on ceiling above the shower). Pool was closed for repairs, however, my son and his friend walked into that area. They saw apparently with the door, propped open and open bottle of alcohol, sitting outside the door. When I brought this to management’s attention, specifically due to children staying in the hotel at the time, I was told they, the construction workers, were on break.I found that excuse to be lacking. I think management would find it interesting that people are drinking and doing construction work. I felt that the lack of care or concern by that particular front desk staff was really disappointing.

The location was great, but disappointed we didn’t have an ocean view.

The vending machines weren’t stocked and breakfast was lacking. It was disappointing.
