Bridge Creek Inn

Great location. Lovely hotel. Staff very nice. Parking was very easy. Room was modern and beautiful.

We loved the city lofts! So clean and beautiful view. It was so fun to be able to walk around downtown!

We had not been to Clayton for about 10 years, and I was happy to see a new/renovated hotel in downtown that was dog friendly. Free parking. Unloading space next to doors. The dog rooms are right behind the front desk, when I saw we would have to tote our bags up 8-10 steps, I questioned this. The desk person immediately said she could put me in a room serviced by an elevator. I then decided, with a dog, it's easier to be closer to the door. So, ask if you can't negotiate the stairs. The room and bathroom was very new and clean. Beds comfortable. Some people have complained about no in-room coffee maker, but I will say, there was a huge canister of black coffee available in the lobby every morning beginning at 6 a.m. There was a tiny refrigerator in the room that held my dog's food and some beverages. My only suggestioin is to add some more hooks, towel bars and/or shelves in the bathroom. There was space for them, so why not accommodate? Water pressure great, and the shower head accommodated my 6' 3" husband. Once we were back to the hotel after a day of hiking, we could easily walk to wherever we wanted to eat.

Stayed here 9/4/25. Pros : Clayton is a wonderful and clean little town. Some say "quaint". Great restaurants and bars. All are walking distance from this Inn. This may be why the Inn is quite expensive. Almost $200.00 a night. The rooms are nice and clean. Beds are comfortable. There are no microwaves in rooms but there is one in a common area on each floor. Showers are ok. There is a very nice bar & restaurant in the Inn. I have not dined there because there are several other restaurants to choose from within walking distance. I have used the bar which is very convenient. There is a great restaurant a short walk down main street but that is for another review. The only unpleasant experience in the Inn was the check in receptionist. Check in is normally 4:00pm. We thought is was 3:00 like most hotels. The young girl resisted our attempts to check in at 3:15. We just travelled hours the the local golf course, played 18 thus we were tired and sweaty with great need of a shower. She should have noticed that and quickly deviated from the norm. We had to explain this to her before she gave us a room. I mean .. 45 mins ? Really ? That left a bad taste in our mouths to the point where we agreed to stay somewhere else next time. If she was intelligent and more professional, I would be giving this hotel 4 stars as I have in earlier reviews.
