Hotel Palomino

We live in Telluride but needed a night in Ridgway to see in laws. We had the BEST night at the Palomino! We are a family of four, my kids are age 6&9. We stayed in the room with a king and a loft and two twin beds. It was cozy and so so cute. All the little details made it even more special. If we ever need to stay in Ridgway again, we will 100% stay at the Palomino again. Side note. Greenwoods was a great spot to walk - right next door- to grab breakfast. It was delicious!

This is a really nice place. Very thoughtfully decorated - both functional and fun. Quiet place. Everything worked perfectly. We did the very short drive to downtown Ridgway but walking is not out of the question especially for the closer restaurants and brewery. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we come to the area.

Hotel Palomino is my go to place to stay. I travel often to Telluride and I choose to stay at the Palomino because it is always super clean and quiet. the staff super responsive with anything you need. Stay there if you are anywhere near Ridgway.

Hotel Palomino was such a cute place to stay on our Honeymoon! We had the best time! The rooms were spacious, clean, and awesomely decorated. We hope to stay here again when we are back in the area! The prairie dogs across the street were also a sweet surprise! Highly recommend Hotel Palomino!

Fun boutique hotel!

It is disingenuous to call this a hotel because it is completely unstaffed. It is a glorified AirBNB, but with fewer benefits and more drawbacks. Once you look past the aesthetic value, it's clear they prioritized form over function. Pros: - The glass and tile shower is luxurious. - The patios are a nice perk, though the mountain view is obscured by buildings, unlike in the photos. - Some of the rooms open directly to the parking lot so you don't have to trudge down stairs or an elevator. Cons: - The bathroom setup is a disaster. The sink is outside the bathroom itself, which isn't uncommon. But it's made worse by the nonsensical decision to position the spout almost two feet above the sink. The faucet is also not aerated. The result is water splashing all over your skin and clothes when you try to wash anything. - No staff. - No storage space of any kind. - No desk. - No microwave. - The shades are too large for the windows so they don't actually provide full privacy or block light. - The TV is a dirt cheap Hisense which looks and sounds awful. - The hot water ran out after two showers. This place was designed for Instagram, not for real people. The price is not justified.

This place is awesome!! Clean, safe and cozy! Close to Telluride, close to Montrose. The community is great! Restaurants are wonderful! You will see us again soon. We love the text messages for check in and check out. Hats off to the owners and management!

It was a very pleasant stay and surprisingly pleasant experience when we drove up. If we are ever in Ridgway again it will be our first choice of where to stay. The western design was very well done. The only thing lacking was some additional countertop space around the sink.

The room was fine if a liile fussy and overpriced.

The self check-in process was aggravatiing and resulted in stress and inconvenience after I received a message about self check-in only as I was about to leave on a six- hour journey to the accommodation, This involved filling in a detailed form which I was unable to upload before I left. When I arrived I was required to speak on the phone remotely to obtain an entry code which the person I spoke to refused to give me until I verified my identity by revealing my personal details over an insecure line, including credit card details, all of which had already been provided securely through Booking. She refused me entry to the room until I did this. It was all very unpleasant and completely spoiled my entire day.
