It was not clean or well maintained. The grounds were dirty with trash. The room we stayed in had a hole in the wall and the TV did not work.

Super run down property. Sign that says smoke free property but yet smoking areas all over to point it just reeks of smoke. Lounge chairs are super old and uncomfortable. The shower they want guests to use to rinse before pool is gross and dirty. Communication with front desk is hard they either don’t respond to texts or not in office. We rented the apartments which were renovated but cheaply the night stands are like supported by toothpicks they are so wobbly. No place to store luggage or items. No shelves or luggage racks. No hairdryers. The WiFi is so horrible can’t even use their smart TVs. It just buffers entire time. They no longer offer room service to clean. So getting toilet paper, towels was difficult and Trash was hard to get emptied. Lastly their staff double parks behind guests so you can’t leave. Multiple times was blocked in when I needed to leave early. Would not recommend staying here and will not be staying here again.

My wife & I were disappointed. Service could have been much better. No-one seemed to care about supplies in the room, or fixing or replacing a the bathroom light. (never addressed in 3 days) Parking limitations. apparently people overstayed & left cars in the lot the beds were actually very comfortable & room was clean, but the room was very outdated and not very well supplied with soap or towels or tp.

Moldy ceiling, no toilet paper, paper thin pillows, no maid service to the room. If this sounds like your ideal hotel, The Tahiti Inn is for you. This hotel has absolutely no right to charge what they do for a night. While it is conveniently located right off of the boardwalk, the service and lack of cleanly rooms outweighs the convenience. We booked a double bed room for 2 nights totaling nearly $700. The stay did not include beach tags, which every other hotel we have stayed at in OCNJ did include the beach tags during your stay. Let's talk about the biggest issue with this room- lack of cleaning service, specifically to the bathroom. Since the bathroom does not have a fan, the ceiling was COVERED in MOLD AND MILDEW. I don't mean 1 or 2 spits. I mean about 60-70% of the ceiling was covered. And when you shower, since there is no fan, the ceiling gets soaked and then drips the mold down on to you and anything you bring into the bathroom. Our room looked like they hadn't been touched by any form of maid or cleaning service in months. Not to mention, we were provided with 1 roll of toilet paper and had to go to the front desk 2 times in order to get another roll. Why twice you may ask? The first time the office was locked. Towels were never replenished and each time we needed new towels, we had to go to the front desk. Pillows, imagine taking a pillowcase, folding a t shirt up, and putting it in the pillow case. That's what the pillows were like. And there were 2 per bed. The air conditioner was locked at 60 degrees on high, we tried to change it, but couldn't. So be prepared to freeze. If you are OK with all paying a significantly overpriced amount for a room like this, the Tahiti will be the perfect placed for your vacation.

Pro: Everything in the room (A/C, lighting, plumbing, fridge, TV) worked. Also, the location so close to the boardwalk and beach was very convenient. Con: On one occasion, I hung the tag on the door asking for a room clean-up. That didn't happen (I didn't call management, got on with my day instead). Parking is also very tight, though it seemed like I always found one of the last available spaces when needed. Finally, the room is showing its age; the lighting/plumbing fixtures appeared to be quite old, though they still worked.

Basic room dirty floors but beach block and only needed to stay 2 nights so worth it in the end
