Hotel Verdant

The hotel looks lovely but between the broken AC which left our room feeling WET (had to move at midnight to another room) and after check out I discovered I left a bag; was told by desk manager it was not turned in and housekeeping didn't have it; then after stressing to rebuy my items I got a call saying they did have it but they threw away my shampoo and conditioner, $70 to repurchase. It was poor service. No offer to replace it or compensate me for the stress or expense. I'll not book here again. Looks like 4 star, actually like a 2 star in service.

Hotel Verdant was great. Some may haggle with the prices, but the sleep that I got while at this hotel made it worth every cent. I’m not sure where the bed came from, but I am a lifelong fan. The staff on hand was courteous and helpful, and the view that you get while at the rooftop bar is the buttercream icing on the cake. Hotel Verdant gets bonus points for being directly in front on Kewpees. I still love that place.

We were very excited to try this hotel for the first time. The sustainability and environmental stewardship options and features were great. However, we paid a premium for a lake view room and ended up staring at a sliver of harbor and another building between us and the lake. There was no lake view that should be charged an additional room fee for. The parking is two blocks away and is an outdoor lot with very poor lighting. When we arrived, there were no spots available in the slot for our car. I’m not sure we would’ve felt safe leaving our car there and walking ourselves back to the hotel even if there had been space. Overall, extremely overpriced for what it is.

Beautiful design and friendly staff

Hotel itself, marvelous! Ate at some GREAT local restaurants (shout out to Mrs. Betty's Kitchen down the street!) and enjoyed some drinks at the rooftop bar where the service was great! Drag racing that occurred outside almost every night.. not so much... I'm a fast and the furious fan as much as the next person.. 🙄 but I also like to sleep.
