"Works for a family on a budget "

I read the reviews before picking this property and saw it was a 50/50 . Traveling with children and trying to stay on budget we chose to stay at this hotel. There are no bells and whistles and no frills but you get what you pay for . We received great service extra towels clean comfy beds and directions to the area attractions . I say we got all we paid for and some. The front desk lady was sweet and kind and we would stay here again do so on a budget we dthis place our I Must say that it is a no frills hotel no bells and whistles but has everything you need and it is not overpriced .The manager was ver

"Horrible experience"

From the outside of this hotel to the lobby, this hotel appears like it would be a decent hotel. When we walked into the room, the first thing we noticed was that the towels were dungy and the carpets were filthy. The curtains were stained and there was stuff on the floor like they hadn't even cleaned the room.

"Great stay (despite the bad reviews I read)"

Read a lot of past reviews about this location and was a bit apprehensive (most were negative). The only reason I stayed was because of close proximity to a seminar I was attending and the low cost (using choice rewards). However after arriving and staying for 2 nights, everything was unfounded as the room was very clean, quiet and staff was very courteous. I was pleasantly surprised and glad I stayed here. Some notes: Learning from my wife who is very picky about cleanliness, I noticed the bathroom tiles - the joints were very light colored and free of dirt. If the joints were dark and grimy, it would mean old and dirty but it wasn't so here - just like a new bathroom. The bed linens were clean and the blanket looked almost new. It didn't look like years of use. There is no breakfast which is not important at least for me because in the Amish country, there are lots of super restaurants I would rather have a full breakfast and experience great food. For those that have Optimum Online internet at home I was rather surprised that along with the hotel internet you can sign on Optimum here and get FAST speeds too as an alternative. Other reviews mentioned bad staff, bad smells, dirty rooms, etc - I experienced NONE of these issues and even peeked at 3 other rooms while they were being cleaned. I usually stay in higher end properties like Sleep inn, Hampton, Fairfield, etc. This Rodeway Inn is not any of these - BUT I didn't pay those type of prices and didn't expect that level. What I did get was a clean and comfortable room without any of those extra frills and THAT is what I was very satisfied with.
