AC Hotel by Marriott Honolulu

This property is in the business district and at the edge of Chinatown. I liked that there were a number of attractions within walking distance, as well as public transportation. I didn't care for how dark the room was. There never seemed to be enough light. We also had to ask service to come empty the trash. The front desk neglected to advise us that the rooms are only cleaned every other day. If you stay here, Iolani Palace is a short walk. You must reserve a time if you want to tour; however, there's a free option available if (like me) you weren't aware. You can get a wristband that gives access to a very informative film about the history of the monarchy & palace, and access to a gallery of significant historical artifacts. Additionally, you can take The Bus--Hawaii's excellent transportation system--to Pearl Harbor. You need exact change if paying with cash, or a HOLO card, which can be purchased at the 7-11 down the block.

Too many homeless around the vicinity very unsafe

Pricey. Charge for everything

Clean, quiet, and convenient. The only things to note are: My floor smelled like cow manure for some reason, but my room was fine. The homeless seem to congregate around this area, and this part of town seems a little weathered and run down. It took 5 minutes to get hot water to my shower, and it wasn’t that warm even turned all the way up.
