We are foodies and expect to be disappointed. The breakfast here was Excellent. Also the room was very nice and very quiet!!!

Although the hotel was clean, the front desk staff was rude and non professional. The day I checked in I actually wanted to stay a few more days...but immediately the staff started barking out prices and fees like i was some sort of vagrant. I agreed to the fees only to change my mind later and end my stay as originally planned....

To many hidden hotel fees …. The price was jacked up over 70 dollars

The woman working the front desk on the evening of 5/12 was delightful. Super kind and helpful, and just what I needed after a long, hectic day of travel. I basically stayed 12 hours as I had a flight out to a neighboring island the next morning. There was no traffic and plenty of Ubers available the next morning (a weekday) so I was door to door in basically 20 minutes. This was way better than trying to get back and forth to one of the Waikiki hotels. The room was pretty standard for a newer hotel. There was noticeable noise from the buses and other road traffic in case you are sensitive to that. I think my room was on the Bishop street side. I was exhausted and staying free on points, so it didn't bother me much. They charge a destination fee, which you can apply to the restaurant. The breakfast buffet plus tip is about equal to the fee. The service in the restaurant for breakfast was substandard. There were only a few tables occupied, but I and another guest waited about five minutes to be acknowledged at the entrance. The two women at the table next to me wanted to order off the regular menu and were sort of loudly discussing getting ignored as middle-aged women, but nobody came by to take their order. They ended up just getting the buffet food because they were running out of time. I got my check promptly but then waited about 15 minutes trying to get someone's attention to pick it up after I signed. Since I was charging the meal to the room (to use the resort fee) I finally just got up and left because I needed to get to the airport. Another table on the other side of me had done the same after they gave up.

Staff were super friendly and eager to help with suggestions for meals and activities.
