Relax Inn & Suites

I book rooms for my team, They messaged me from this site saying no more expedia deals. This site smells like mold and if they were staying more than a day I would need to find a new site. I don't understand why a budget room can't be clean. All we want is a clean place to sleep and a shower with decent water pressure. A couple of clean towls would be nice too. We don't need coffee makers and microwaves just a decent room.

I rarely write reviews because I'm not usually moved to but I can’t let this go. First, let me say that I'm a 64-year old woman and I was exhausted when I booked the room. I thought I had booked at a different hotel. When I saw where I was and that the charge was non-refundable I just figured I'd make the best of it. Absolutely everything possible went wrong with this hotel. Starting with the fill-in desk clerk who had no idea how to check me in. The property is a rundown, old Howard Johnson's that has not been kept up at all. The lobby was packed with slot machines that I assume they must have installed to make some kind of income. The room was a whole different level of disgusting. Cobwebs in every corner and along the top of every doorframe. The overhead lights had no bulbs, the waste cans had garbage in them, the front of the dresser drawers were broken off, the bathroom faucet was not attached to the sink, all of the towels were dingy and grey, the pillows had no cases on them and were stained (thank goodness I brought my own pillow), and the mini fridge smelled horrible when I opened it. I didn't feel safe to take a shower or sleep under the sheets so I slept on top of them and used the threadbare blanket for covers. My cat crawled up into the box spring and didn't want to come out. The clincher was when I checked out in the morning. I went to get the $50 pet deposit back, the owner accused me of smoking in the room and wasn't giving it back. I do not smoke cigarettes- full stop. The woman yelled at me when I protested and said she was going to give the deposit back but she decided she didn't like my attitude! My best friend was waiting outside in the car and came in because he heard yelling. I ended up calling the cops and she demanded I apologize to her to get my deposit back then said she didn't like my apology so I just left and got in the car.

we booked a room that charged $8 more for breakfast. this location had no breakfast available. Blanket was to thin. it was a cold night.

No phone to contact desk, no coffee maker or hair dryer, but brand new fridge and microwave, so maybe more improvements are coming soon.

My pet was free and for the money was goood
