Great location, lovely house

The AC system was extremely noisy, needs servicing. The bathroom door hinges made such a noise if one of us went to the bathroom you were bound to wake the other, if not the whole neighbourhood, just needs some oil, should be taken care of.

The property was well kept and clean. It was in close proximity to downtown Sandusky, which was convenient.

This is a century home and while it is nicely renovated, unfortunately the walls and floors are paper thin. The other people staying there were extremely loud and inconsiderate. I called the property manager at midnight about the noise and it changed nothing. I may have slept 2 hours all night. I chose this hotel to rest and relax for a few days and ended up very frustrated, tired and disappointed. I left after the first night because I knew I wouldn't get any sleep on the second night with the loud people and children staying there. I called management on the second day and left a message that I was leaving a day early due to lack of sleep and the bad experience. No one even bothered to call me back and get feedback which reflects a lack of customer service. The place was not worth almost $250 per night. Don't stay here unless you're a heavy sleeper or have noise canceling headphones, otherwise you will not sleep if you have inconsiderate neighbors during your stay.

It was so clean and comfortable. The decor was nice and the room was a pleasant atmosphere

We were in town for Ironman 70.3 Ohio, and this was a great location, close to downtown and everything we needed for race day.

Dang... talk about NO soundproofing between walls and floors! We were on the 2nd floor and between the people next to us with a barking dog and loud conversations on the phone, and the family above us with the kids running around at all hours, it was rough to get a good night's sleep. Very disappointed. Other items that were frustrating: limited cutlery in the kitchen; only gave us 2 forks and 2 spoons, no small plates and only 3 large ones... very strange. Not much toilet paper; I had to call to get more. And the kitchen table rocked so badly we had to wedge some paper in the base to make it more stable. Fireplace in the bedroom had a huge crack in the side (plaster) that definitely needs repairing.

First the “hits“: The location can’t be beat. It is located in a charming old section of the town, less than a five minute walk from shops, restaurants , and the wharf. The rooms, really suites, are located in a charmingly restored mansion. Our suite was large, airy, clean, and well decorated. Much to our surprise it even featured a washing machine and dryer.

Now the “misses“: there was only 1/2 roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, and the shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower were empty. Finally, the “fitted“ sheet did not fit the bed. These were housekeeping miscues. A phone call to the rental agency brought quick resolution.

The house and the comfiness to it was just maginifcient. Street parking was availble but having a parking lot on side of the house was a bonus I was not expecting
